Alright, buckle up ladies and gents, we're lookin' at some relatively bumpy turbulence over the next couple chapters. We'll be making a couple stops, so if you have any questions plot-wise let me know!
Fr though, If you need a little catch-up, the events of this chapter take place from episode 262-266. Trying to speed things up a bit since there's still a lot to cover, and I would like to try and get Water 7 finished up in decently-timed fashion.
But again, this might get confusing (specifically the first chunk of this chapter), so lmk if I can help jog your memory at all :)))
(Also, chapter names are here!! AND we hit 500k!! TYSM <333)
Hope u enjoy <333 Happy reading!!

The rain stopped... Probably around a half an hour ago, at this point.
As if the very sky itself had been sliced in half, we'd crossed over a brightened threshold between stark seas – Derisive, murky-green waves traded for the tranquility of foamy aquamarine ripples – The sky's menacing gloom swapped out for a perfect ribbon-blue – It was nearly blinding. A change so drastic that if you'd blinked during the transition you would've missed it.
Still, sunrays couldn't reach into this frigid atmosphere, held at bay by reinforced steel and bullet-proof glass. Hollowed, exhausted, lagging in mind and body, I longed to feel the sun soak into my water-logged skin. Yet, here we were instead. Stuck inside the last and final train cart, listening to the rattle-rattle of gears and wheels at constant pace. It could've given even the sanest individual a nasty case of misophonia.
Though, in this scenario? I honestly would've preferred going insane.
"This isn't a game!"
Sharp as a knife, the belittling reprimand isn't one I'm keen to receive from Robin, shrinking away from the sting. Conversation has been few and far between, at least up until this point. The woman who'd once been a source of stability had ironically morphed into a stone-cold wall.
"We're talking about a place you'll never be able to return from. What don't you get about that?"
It's time to back track a bit.
If you couldn't guess, all three of us had been successfully retrieved by CP9. The highly skilled agents had done away with the loosely put together 'game plan' Usopp had concocted, working quickly to catch up to the others in their detached train cart. Even Franky's efforts to save the attempt, sacrificing himself in the process, did nothing to help; it merely solved one-half of the agent's problems via delivering himself straight into the leopard's mouth. I'd watched everything unfold, helpless and pinned to the floor as the man with the horns activated his devil fruit, opening a door that served as some kind of portal and stepping inside. When he stepped out, Robin was with him.
She wound up right back in CP9's custody – Except, all the calmness that she'd exuded before had vanished.
Being a prime witness to her defiance against the broad man's grasp as she writhed and screamed all the way through the portal-door, with wild black hair and a fierceness that could rival any person backed in a corner, Robin vehemently demanded that they hold up their end of the deal. The archeologist was outraged, threatening to never tell them a word – that she would do everything in her power to fight back, or worse, find some way to remove herself from the equation entirely – trying and failing to dictate the situation by questioning their reasoning behind the decision. She'd only promised to go along with the government's plans willingly so long as the rest of us were unharmed, and with me being dragged into the picture, there was obviously some kind of violation in place.
