I wake up the next morning. Did I really become best friends with the careers? It doesn't seem real. But we're not even close to best friends, really? We're going to kill each other in less than three days. My training with the Game Makers are tonight, and all of Panem will see my score. All the tributes. The people that'll try to kill me in less than a week. First, I actually have to wake up. I take a shower, and get dressed, and head down to breakfast.
"So, do you two want to be coached together or separately?",
Leia asks us. Today she has three inch long nails which have cherry blossoms on them. She has auburn hair and blonde tips. "I tried to make my hair match both of yours," Leia says with a smile. "I'd like to be coached separately," Ian says. Leia turns to me. "Cassandra, that means that you will also be coached separately. " I sigh. I can deal with that, I guess..
The next four hours are agonizing. "Remember to stand tall!! Smile Cassandra, smile!", Leia shouts. I am wearing 7 inch high heels and they hurt like hell. I have blisters that I got on my feet  within twenty minutes of wearing the high heels. "Cassandra!!! Stand tall!!" Leia snaps. I think she's desperate as I am to stop. "Say, you don't think I'm standing tall now?" I yell. "Cassandra-" "Don't Cassandra me! I quit!" I am about to sit when I fall back on the concrete. I hit my head. I grimace. "Cassandra? Cassandra? Cassandra....."
My eyes flutter open. I'm on a couch. I must have been crying because my mascara is ruined. "Cassandra." I turn. Leia is standing there, watching me. "Were you watching me sleep?", I ask. "Yes and no. I heard some crying. I came to see you. You were apparently crying in your sleep. We had to stop training because you passed out. I've only been watching you sleep for the past ten minutes. And by the way, you hurt your head." I touch my head with my hand. I find a bump on the back of my head. Ouch. Just then, I hear a knock on the door. Leia hurries to open it.
Ian and Garnet walk in. "We talked about what kind of person I'm going to be at the interviews," Ian says.  "For four hours straight?", I ask. Ian laughs. "Not the whole time, but most of the time. By the way, what happened to your head?" "Leia hit me with a pug." "What?! I did not!!" Leia yells. I exchange a look with Ian. "I was just kidding, Leia. What really happened was I tried to dive into the floor." Leia snickers. "I....I can still see the horrified look on your face when you dove into the floor..." She bursts out laughing. Garnet laughs as well. "Well, I better take Cassandra and try to help her on what kind of person she's going to be in the interviews. "
After another four agonizing hours, I take a shower, change my clothes, and put my hair in a bun. Now time for the scoring. Everything goes smoothly. The boy tribute first, then the girl tribute. Finally, when Ian comes back, it's my turn. I take a deep breath. Here we go. They call my name. Boom! Boom! Each knife soars across the room and finds its target. Right in the dummy's heart. I then go to the computer section, where I match each plant up correctly. I then go to the spears and swords. I manage to decapitate a dummy and split it open with a sword. It goes the same way for the spears, it goes into the chest, deep. Very deep.
I'm panting, and my glossy hair is falling out of my once tidy bun. I bow. "You may be dismissed," Plutarch Heavensbee's voice rings over the room.
I walk out, expecting the worst. I go past all of the other tributes waiting. The District 11 girl, is tiny. The tragic part is that she was Rue Barnette, the 12 year old girl from the 74th Hunger Games's sister. I think her name is Rose. She's 14. I pass Alice and Andrew, the District 12 tributes. I head to our private rooms, eat dinner, and head to bed. Tomorrow will be a good day.
