I am escorted to a train with Ian and Garnet. I look out the window as we pass a district. I believe it's 8. The train is going over 255 miles per hour. Incredible. Ian actually looks at me for once. "You must be Cassandra." I stare at him. " I am," I say. "I'm very sorry about your sister." I try not to get all emotional, so I stare at the ground. No carpet this time.
I eat dinner with Ian, Leia, and Garnet. "We're going to arrive tomorrow! Isn't that lovely, dears?!" Ian looks at her. "It's wonderful." Leia looks hurt. "You don't have to be rude, dear." Garnet stares at us. "Be nice, Ian." Just then, a Avox comes and brings us some stew. It has rice and beans in it. It's delicious. After we eat dinner, we're served dessert. It's chocolate chip cookies covered in chocolate ice cream covered in chocolate sauce. It's also delicious. "Mmm!", Leia says. "This is amazing!" Afterwards, we head to bed. My bed is a king sized one, and there's laced sheets that are extremely comfortable. It's not hard at all to fall asleep.
Day comes with a brilliant peach colored sky, and there's a ocean with islands outside the windows. It must be District 4, the fishing industry. I fall back asleep for a hour or so before Leia comes and wakes me up. "Get up sweetheart! We're going to arrive very soon!" I groan. "I don't want to get up." Leia laughs. "Trust me dear, I didn't want to get up either. By the way, you can wear anything in your drawers." She walks out in a hurry. I can hear her yelling at Ian.
I take a shower, dry my hair, and myself off. I then look in my drawers, and I find a red cashmere sweater and some black leggings with a grey skirt and some black army style boots. Lovely. I put it on, and push my hair back with a black head band. It's straight today.
Just then, the train screeches to a halt. I hold on a bar that's on the seat, close my eyes, and I become a bit woozy. I open my eyes. "We're here! We are here!" Leia Carter cries happily. "Come along Ian and Cassandra!" We leave the train, and we see the Capitol. It is amazing. I see myself on a big screen with Ian.  My face is emotionless. Ian, however, looks excited. We are escorted to a room with several silly Capitol people. There is a man, with purple curls and sparking orange eyes. "Hello! My name is Optimus!" A woman with bright green hair and yellowish skin, tells me her name is Catiline.  "We are your stylists!" they exclaim. "We will make you shine! Shall we begin?" I pause and say," You mean start fixing me up?" They nod.
The next thing I know, they are ripping hair from my legs and plucking my eyebrows. I wince. "Your hair is beautiful!" exclaims Catiline. The others nod in agreement. "On your head only, though!!" They burst out laughing. I  kind of chuckle and wince as they continue on stripping the hair from my legs.  It's time to meet my stylist. A woman with copper hair and porcelain skin approaches me. "Hello," she says. "My name is Tara. You must be Cassandra." I nod. "Well Cassandra, I'm going to make you shine. You'll be just like Katniss Everdeen."  "That's wonderful," I say. "I agree," Tara says. "Now let's give you your outfit for the ceremonies." She brings me a silver tunic with the help of Catiline that must weigh around forty pounds. It's  gorgeous. Once I put it on, I look in the mirror. It's beautiful. I'm then escorted  to a silver chariot with white horses. Interesting. The only other tributes with white horses are the District 1 ones. Either  way, I think Ian and I look amazing and Optimus, Catiline, and Tara did an excellent job. I watch all the other tribute's chariots go by. District 4's tributes have blue gowns and teal sparkly crowns. I feel bad for Sebastian. I feel worse for District 8's tributes, though. They look like jesters with their silly costumes that are supposed to represent their district. Their district's job is textiles, so they manufacture clothes and everything. They look ridiculous, and their palomino horses don't help. District 12, however, is humiliatingly horrifying. Their stylists basically painted black paint over them to represent coal. Poor Alice. Poor Andrew. I don't have time to feel bad, though. We arrive at President Snow's mansion, and he makes a big speech on how "proud" he is of every single tribute for participating in his Games. Ha. It's very unlikely he's proud; he forces every district to give up two children every year. 79 years in total. I honestly don't pay attention to his speech because it's all made up. I almost fall asleep. You probably don't believe me, but I almost did. In front of Panem. I mean, it seems impossible because of every single citizen is screaming our names because they're so excited to see us. By the time Snow's speech is over, I realize I almost fell asleep. Oops. Afterwards, our horses bring us back to where we came from, and we are escorted by our stylists to dinner. Good. I'm starving.
