She throws a knife at me. It pierces my forehead, and blood continuously fills my eyes, blinding me. I wipe the blood away from my eye, and shoot an arrow. It somehow manages to hit Blair, even though I couldn't see anything. She grimaces and pulls it out of her forearm. She takes another knife and throws it at my arm. Blood horrifyingly splatters everywhere. Blair then pins me down, and taunts me the way she taunted Alice. "I hope you're sister's watching this," she says as she smirks. "You're going to die the way my sister did." She's talking about Clove, her fifteen year old sister who died after Thresh, the District 11 boy brought a rock down onto her skull and dented it. I struggle to get Blair off of me. "Blair you can't!" I scream. "Too late," she replies.
Then something unexplainably happens. A hovercraft picks her up. I scream in surprise. "Cassandra help me!" she screams in rage. I can't exactly jump on the claw that's picking her up. It's leaving, and it's heading across the lake. There's a rock right below where Blair is. If I stop the hovercraft, she's definitely going to die.
But if I don't, I could die from whatever mutts the Capitol adds into this fun house. So I shoot the claw, and it releases Blair. She's screaming. She yells something at me right before she hits the rock. I can't bear to watch this. I turn, and a cannon goes off.
Then I realize the hovercraft was meant for the District 9 girl. That has to be correct. Or meant for Melody......I will never know. I turn around to see Blair, and her head split open. She's bleeding continuously, and I don't dare to look any longer.
There's obviously been some confusion about what happened to Blair, and the Gamemakers finally speak up. "Presenting the victor of the 79th annual Hunger Games, I give you- Cassandra Belcourt!

A long period of time goes by before the hovercraft picks up Blair and I, and I'm sent up into a room where I'm given a shot in my arm that makes me pass out.
I wake up shortly after. At first, I have no clue where I am. Then I realize I won the Games, and I'm in a hovercraft. There's no sign of any wounds on my body whatsoever, and my skin is practically glowing. My nails are shaped like ovals, and my forehead is completely healed. Just then, a nurse walks in. She clears her throat. "Cassandra, I've got some important news for you," she says. I nod. "Blair Kentwell- the District 2 Female Tribute- has survived the fall she had." I freeze. "But...but this is impossible!" I say. "She..she fell on to the rock from a high area! It's literally impossible for her to have survived the fall! Her head split open! She's- there's- no way she's alive!"
The nurse looks at me. "Well, she's unfortunately in a coma," she says. "The cannon that went off was the District 9 female tribute's. Her name was Katniss. "Like Katniss Everdeen?" I ask. "Yes, and no," says the nurse. "District 9 is the grain district, and she was named after a plant. But she passed away from her injuries. Anyways, we don't know how long Blair is going to be in a coma, but when she wakes up, she'll also be a victor of the 79th annual Hunger Games."
I just stare at her. "So Blair's alive?" I ask. "Yes," the nurse responds. "Good night." "Wait!" I say. The nurse stops and turns. "Yes?" she asks. "How'll Victory Tour go? I mean, Blair and I are from different Districts," I say. The nurse stares at me. "Well....we don't know if Blair will be out of her coma by then. All we can do now is hope she'll be alright. If not, you'll be representing her for her part in the Victory Tour." "What if Blair dies in her coma?" I ask. "Then you'll be the only victor," says the nurse. "I have to leave for sure now. Bye, Cassandra." I nod as she heads out the door. Once the coast is clear, I try to hop out of bed. But there's some tube of some sort that has a clear liquid in it that makes me go unconscious. I wake up again, and I go unconscious again. I'm clearly being monitored.
I wake up again, and the tube with the liquid is gone. Completely. I can actually get out of bed now. I climb out, and a Avox greets me. I mean, she didn't exactly greet me; she can't talk. She has a tray full of beef soup, with carrots and bread in her hands. "This is for me?" I ask. She nods. She also gives me an outfit that I wore in the arena. I wish I could wear something else, but that's out of options. Like I had any anyways. Fine. I'll just go with the flow. I get into the shower, but this time I'm a lot less careless about what buttons I press. A lavender lotion covers my body, and my hair smells like peaches. Hmm. At least it smells good. I then braid my hair, and put my outfit on. I take a deep breath. Time to go see Leia and Garnet.

Leia sees me first. She squeals, and somehow manages to run to me in 5 inch heels. "Cassandra! My dear, dear, Cassandra!" She pulls me into a big hug, and begins to cry. "You made it! I'm so happy for you!"
Garnet smiles. "I'm glad to see you made it back, Cassandra." I give her a sly grin. "Will there be a feast?" I ask. She nods. Okay. At least I'll get some decent food. I mean, the meal that I was given from the Avox was okay, but I'd be expecting my homecoming meal to be more spectacular. But I'm just crazy like that. Now I'll get to see my stylists. I see Optimus and Catiline running towards me, yelling at me, in delight of course; in their silly Capitol accents. "Cassandra! You're alive!" Catiline squeals. Optimus turns away and is wiping tears from his eyes. He now looks like some sort of raccoon because of his mascara, which is all messed up from his tears.
"Cassandra! You made it out of the arena! I'm so happy!" He trills. I see two women walking towards me. I recognize Tara, but there's a second woman with pink curls and purple nails. "Cassandra, I'm so glad you made it back. This is Rainé Sparké, and she picks the tributes for District 2," Tara says. I nod. "Hello, Rainé," I say. "I'm honored to meet you." Rainé flashes a smile. "It's lovely to see you too, Cassandra dear. I'm here to help you about the Victory Tour." I stare at her in shock. "I'm going home back to District 5 though, right? I'll get to see my mother and Emily, right?" I say, practically squealing. Rainé gives me a smile, but it makes me feel like I'm insane. "You're definitely going to go home, dear," she says. "In fact, I'm only going to tell you one thing before you leave to go on the train that'll bring you back to District 5." I nod, waiting for a response. Rainé looks around, like to check if the coast is clear or something. "President Snow did not like the way you shot an arrow at the hovercraft," she says. I stare at her, confused and concerned. "But how does this relate to Victory Tour," I ask. Rainé clears her throat. "Here's the catch, though. On Victory Tour, you go to each District and talk about their tributes and how they succeeded in the arena, on and on. But you have to explain why you shot an arrow at the hovercraft to each District." I stare at her, practically frozen. Uh oh. This isn't going to work well. Just then, a Avox comes to Leia, Garnet and I. He brings us to dinner, and it's delicious. Chicken with carrots and celery, on top of a bed of wild rice. It's served with some sort of milk, but it's not the normal type. It's a shade of green. Yuck. I actually decline to this drink, because it's hideous in color and just not appetizing in general.
This'll officially be my last meal in the Capitol, because I'll be on a train heading back to District 5 tomorrow.
The meal could have been better, but it also could have been worse.
As I head to bed, my mind is filled with worried thoughts. Did I really upset the Capitol? I think. Will President Snow hurt my family? My mind is filled with blaring thoughts as I stroke the silky smooth sheets on my bed.
I'll just have to wait and see what they do to my family.
As I step off the train and get on to the platform, all I can think is that Emily's dead. Worry fills my head, and my heart. But all I can do is wait.END OF BOOK ONE

Yay! I enjoyed making this book! All the names (Katniss Everdeen, Peeta Mellark, Plutarch Heavensbee, Claudius Templesmith, Glimmer, Clove) are Suzanne Collins's characters from the book The Hunger Games and this is a book made off her idea of the Hunger Games.
Anyways, I enjoyed making this! It was fun and I hope you enjoy it! Byeeeee :)
