"I want to hear your answer now, Elisel. I already gave you time to think so, I hope you say 'YES' although I don't want to hear you say no, either." Leon Stevens spoke with conviction when he broke the deafening silence inside the conference room.
Lahat naman nang atensyon ay napunta sa'kin that's why I felt a sudden severe anxiety inside my stomach. Na para bang any minute ay sasabog na iyon dahil sa sobrang kaba.
Lalo pa't dahil sa sinabi nitong iyon ay para bang wala rin talaga akong choice na tumanggi even I want to.
"Well... I," Saglit akong tumigil. I felt a sudden overwhelming feeling and pressure of the situation, that I start to doubt myself if I can able to meet everyone's expectations just by stating my answer regarding of what Leon was asking.
So I let a loud sigh and decided not to prolong my breath-holding response and nodded confidently at them.
The relieved faces of everyone showed out, as if like a big thorn had been removed from their throats, because of what I did.
"Pinag-isipan ko 'to ng mabuti from the time Leon gave me and I came up for one decision. And that is to accept this big task no matter what. I realized kasi that I must consider everyone's feelings and not only mine kahit na ayoko, because, everyone was working their ass off para lang matapos ng maayos ang gaganaping Fashion show event na 'to here in my hotel. So... I'm very determined to say this infront of everyone that I'll gladly do this. I'll do this not for the sake of my hotel's popularity became more expands, but for the sake of everyone who works hard even in the most worst situation like this."
Sa wakas ay mahaba ko nang sabi sa lahat confidently na ikinapalakpak ng mga ito sa tuwa. They all smiled at me happily as if that all the work pressure and anxiety they've felt since Trisha got injured just melted away because of what I said.
'I guess, I got everyone's expectations, anyway.'
Napangiti ako.
I looked at the twin na halos hindi rin humihinga habang naghihintay sa magiging sagot ko kanina.
They are smiling ear to ear while looking at me too na para bang proud na proud sila sa naging desisyon ko.
"Woooh! That's my girl! Galingg!" Bahagya naman akong natawa sa sinabing iyon ni Acckeeya na may pa'heart' sign pa. While Georgie na tahimik parin sa isang tabi gave me a 'thumbs up' sign that I just nodded.
'Pasaway talaga.'
I stated in my mind for what Acckeeya's reaction.
Then, I roam my eyes around and felt a sudden burst of excitement and happiness after seeing everyone's happy faces.
Kaya naman kahit may konting kaba parin akong nararamdaman ay bahagya na iyong nababawasan dahil sa mga ito kahit na may isang linggo pa para sa mismong event.
Sa isipin namang iyon ay kaagad akong napatingin kay Leon. Nawala sa isip ko na nandito nga pala ito dahil sa sayang nararamdaman ko para sa mga staff na nasa loob ng conference room.
"Hey! Let's do this!" Untag ko rito ng magtama ang paningin naming dalawa. Hindi man ito nagsalita ay alam kong natutuwa rin ito sa naging desisyon ko dahil malapad din ang pagkakangiti nito tulad ko.
He just nodded in a cool way na ikinangisi ko nalang...
