You woke up with a small yawn, stretching your arms from the morning soreness. Jenna was sitting beside you with a book in her hands, looking like perfection even though you're sure, she's been up for around 30 minutes.

Her hair was in a messy bun, strands falling in front of her face. Which only added to her perfectness. Jenna's lips were parted slightly, tongue poking out in concentration. And the glasses, oh the glasses she wore were your favorite.

"Good morning." She mindlessly said, already feeling your lively presence. Jenna smiled and shut her book, looking at you. "How did you sleep?"

"Like a baby." You snuggled closer to her. Jenna's hand bowed down to comb your hair with her fingers. "And you?"

"Same, same, baby." She hummed lightly. "Do you know what today is?"

"Thursday?" You said with a small smile.

Jenna chuckled. "Yes, but it's also May 1st."

You sat up, leaning on your elbows as you looked at her through your messy bangs. "Is it?"

"Mhm." One arm grabbed your hand, pulling you to lay between her legs. "It's mental health awareness month, my love."

Each year, every May, Jenna would celebrate how far you've come with your mental health. She wanted you to feel proud of your progress and everything you've down to be the way you are now.

"We don't need to keep celebrating that." You mumbled, lightly blushing as you stood up to grab some clothes.

Jenna scoffed. "Of course we do! Do you have any idea how amazing it is to see your growth?" She grabbed you from behind, making you giggle when she kissed along your neck.

"Yeah, but it's okay." You shrugged.

The scars from your previous actions of self harming took place along the inner parts of your thighs, stomach, and arms. And when you changed, your eyes caught sight of them all.

So did Jenna.

"You know I've always loved these." She broke the silence, her hand grazing the scars. You flinched lightly, the urge to push her away was strong.

But Jenna wouldn't dare. Her fingers dragged along them, looking at you with love. "Each one... they have a story to tell. A brave story about how strong you are."

You stared into the mirror, avoiding her eyes until you unfortunately met them when Jenna looked into the mirror as well. "And I'm so proud of you." She mumbled against your body.

You inhaled slowly. "Thank you, Jenna. For always being my biggest supporter." You turned in her arms and kissed her cheek. "I love you."

"You know I love you more." She whispered softly, leaning in for a bigger kiss on the lips. All you wanted to do was smile widely into it.
