Chapter 42 - Aki's dream

It's nighttime. The shoot finishes, and Aki let out a sigh. We sit at a bench near the bus. "Aki, you've worked hard." I said to Aki. "Hehe, thanks. But weren't you bored watching the shooting?" She said. "N-no. It was fun watching you work." I tell her.
"Really?" Aki smiles happily .. I take a breath, and think to myself. (But even so .. Aki is really tryingher hardest. The reason that she's trying so desperately is ..) "Hey Aki.." I say her name "yeah?" She answer me. "The reason you're working so hard .. it's for your dream, right?" I asked her "..! Ah.. w-well, yeah." She said. "I see, so that's why you're trying your hardest. It must be a really important dream to you, Aki."  And then. (..Hm?)

At my words, Aki looks deep in thought for some reason. "..Natsume. Do you want to know? About my dream." She say to me. "Huh? Well, yeah .. but I won't force you to tell me." I tell her. "It's OK. I'll tell you. I should probably tell you, Natsume.. about my dream." She said . (..! S-somehow the atmosphere is really serious..) I straighten up without thinking. (I wonder what Aki's dream is ..?) .. And then, the next moment I hear words that I'd never expected to hear Aki say. ".. Actually .. my dream is .. To meet my 'Mother'." She said.

"M-meet your mother..!?" I said  loudly "yeah." She answer "B-but Aki, your mom is .. ..! "

[Flash Back]
"The truth is .. when Aki was still a baby .. she was abandoned by her mother." Misaki told me.
"Even now, I still can't forgive my mother .. she completely abandoned me." Aki said.

The story of Aki's painful past that I found out a few months ago. Since then, I've always avoided talkihg about it, but.. "A-Aki. Do you really want to meet your mother?" I asked her. ".. Yeah. That's why I've been working so hard. If I can become famous as an idol.. I thought that maybe somewhere , my mother might be watching." She told me (..! S-so that's why ..!)  "But why do you want to see her, all of sudden..?" I said to Aki.
Aki smiles, but it's a strange mix of anger and sadness.
"I never used to want to see her. I never know what I'd do if I did meet her .. however .. " Aki's face turns a bit red, and she gazers straight at me. "But after I met you, Natsume. I'm changed ." She said.

".. I met you, and changed. That's why now .. I think I can finally face the problem with my mother that Ive always avoided. I want to meet my mother, talk to her, and get it off my shoulders. If I can do that .. maybe I'll be able to answer yout kindness __USERNAME .. you're always supported me." Aki said "..! A-Aki..!" I had no idea that Aki was thinking about those things. My chest becomes warm and fills with happiness. "!! Th-Thank you, Aki!!" I hugged her tightly "Thank you so much! I had no idea that you thought that way..!" I said to her. "H-Hey, Natsume..!"

Because I'd embrace Aki so enthusiathically, I lose my balance .. I accidentally push Aki on top of the bench. (Argh! A-Aki's face is so close..! Th-This is bad..!) It's the middle of the night.  The two of us. I've fallen on top of Aki. Hopefully Aki doesn't panic  too much..! "Y-Y-You ..!" Aki tremble " w-wait a momen.. " I try to calm Aki "PERVERRTTTT!!"  Aki shoved me  "ooww!!"
