I felt no reason to run. I have beaten him before. I sure as hell can again. "Alright Slendy. Bring it on!" I said turning to face the direction I came from. I watched his shadow appear before me. I knew this all to well. Him and his stupid games. Trying to scare people. Well that won't work on me.
"It wouldn't be very fun if I just attacked now would it? It's better if I let you go crazy. Let your mind collapse in on itself. Its alot more.... Interesting." His cool and collected voice came. "I'm already crazy. No need to wait for me to gain my senses back now is there?" I said flashing him a grin. I already felt myself adjusting to the lightness of my feet.
"Well you see, those little brats out there. They don't know what's going on. And they don't know you, Ragdoll. They know Clare, the little girl who has no memory of the past. But she was stubborn and wouldn't let it go. Had to go do research. And look what happened. Clare is gone. Replaced by you Ragdoll. A killer. A heartless killer that has a taste for blood and senses to keen for the ordinary human. imagine what will happen when you can't help it anymore and snap? Finally decide to kill one of them. I'll be there. watching. Making you and your little friends go crazy. Slowly. And there's nothing you can do to stop me." He whispered as a slight breeze came by and he disappeared with the leaves blowing away. I scoffed.
"He just knows I'll beat him again." I said walking forward. Wait. Wrong way. I turned around and walked to camp. The house isn't there anymore. It's gone. Just like everyone else. Gone. Omph!
"Clare! You tripped over Sally!" Scarlet was running up to me on the ground. But she wasn't Scarlet. She was Bailey. The girl before she died. Sweet and innocent. I pushed myself up as I realized she only wanted to help Sally. I looked and saw a normal little girl. This could not be Sally. "Say your sorry to Sally Clare." Bailey told me sternly.
"Sorry." i mumbled. "Are you ok? You looked startled." A blue eyed boy asked me. He was gently cupping one of my cheeks with his warm hand. "Jeff." I stated more than asked. "Yes?" "You have beautiful eyes." I said. "Mine are nothing compared to yours." He said sweetly. That's right. He's my boyfriend. I forgot. I smiled at him.
"Get a room!" BEN shouted chucking a rock at us. I turned to give him a glare that shot daggers as I realized that this isn't my group of insane killers. They really don't remember. And i can't just be as I was. I have to be Clare. Sweet and innocent.
"You cut my arm asshole." Jeff said. I turned and saw a cut on his exposed arm. The red fluid seeping out. I felt my head throb and desired the blood. My hand twitched upward instictivly. No. Resist the urge. 'Finally decide to kill one of them.' The words filled my head. I will not. I. Can't. Resist the urge.
"Be more careful guys. We have limited supplies." Brandon said. He came over with hand sanitizer and a band aid. "Oh joy." Jeff groaned. "Brandon?!" I said before I could stop myself. "Shouldn't you know this by now?" Brandon smirked. "Be nice." Bailey playfully slapped his arm as he cleaned Jeff's cut.
"Why do you guys get the attention?" Ben whined from the ground. "Because we're just to good for you." Jane said giggling at Jack. Man. Things really went down hill.
"Look. I need to get to the library." I said pushing past everyone. "Uh no. You know the rules." Bailey said sternly. I tilted my head ar her. "No going out after dark." She stated. Just then Smile, who didn't have his smile, burst through the bushes shaking his coat. "Finally." Bailey said attaching rope to his collar. I watched in interest. "Why is there blood on him?" I asked. I could smell it. "What?" Sally asked looking at me with her big brown eyes.
"Blood. On his stomach." I said. Bailey put her hand on his stomach and it came away with a little blood. "Smile! He'll never learn about rolling on dead animals." Bailey shook her head in disgust. I looked away from her. So different. I wonder if I should tell them. I probably shouldn't. They wouldn't believe me anyways.
