Hello yes I'm back with an important message. The story here needed kind of weirdly yeah? Looking back on it I hasn't realized that the ending didn't quite portray and tell what I wanted it to.
That whole thing, a dream? I don't think so. Actually to protect all the monsters and The Under Realm all of their memories were erased and given new ones. Except Clare. Clare's memories were altered to believe that she was in a car crash. Of course you can't bring her dad back to life, but you sure can replace him. All of it was meant to look like a really vivid nightmare.
Clare's distorted memories are meant to keep the tie between the two worlds. Since she believes them all to be a distant dream there's no chance of what happened the first time happening again. All of it was to protect the secrecy of the Under Realm and prevent the destruction of all the monsters as the first time.
Whew that's confusing its just it makes sense in my head so it's hard to put it in a way to make sense to everyone else. But yeah. Alright enjoy.
