Once I'm in school I go straight to my locker and grab my books. The bell rings and I'm already late. Shit. I hurriedly make my way to class. I walk in but no one seems to notice my arrival. Everyone is too fixated on there own conversations. I walk down the isle to a seat in the back of the class.
"Please everyone settle down there's work to be down." Said Mr. Derwin as he push his glasses up on his nose. "I will be passing out these worksheets that will be due at the end of class." He looks around the classroom and his eyes land me. "Ember would you pass these out for me?" Everyone turns around and stares at me waiting for my answer. "Yea sure" I say as I stand up and retrieve the papers from him. I begin to pass out the papers and suddenly I'm face to face with the cold wood floor as papers fly around the classroom. Embarrassment runs through me as I look up to see Lisa Walkers above me.
"Oooh, who knew you were so clumsy Ember, maybe you should be more careful." She says her voice dripped in fake kindness and her face wears an evil smirk as the whole class laughs. "Alright, everyone settle down," Says Mr. Darwin as he come rushing to my aid. "Are you okay? Do you need to see the nurse? " he asks. "No, no I'm fine" I whisper as I began to stand up. "Are you sure you took quite a fall." He says as he helps me up. My cheeks becomes a deeper shade of red. "I'm okay, really." I say ending the conversation and returning to my seat. "Alright, well everyone get back to work you have less than 30 minutes to finish!" He says looking at the clock on the wall.
Everyone returns to there assignments and forgetting about my little tumble as if it never happened. Well, everyone besides me. I sigh and look out the window wishing I could just disappear.
Sorry for all the short chapters but it will get better.
