As I Fade

Chapter 5

I sighed and walked to my front door and pulled out my keys. Just as I was about to put in the keys something hit the door with so much force it cracked the wood frame around the door knob . " Mom! Mom! Are you okay ?" I screamed panicking I scramble to unlock the door and push the door open hard enough that it smacked the wall beside it knocking down pictures to fall of they're hooks. My eyes frantically scanned the living room but everything seemed to be in place. " Mom! Where are you ?!" My heart was beating you could see through my tank top. "Mom! Please you're scaring me" I went to the kitchen to grab a knife. I started to walk slowing to the back of the house where my mother's room is located. "Mom?" I said when I slowly opened her door. Just as I opened her door a bottle flung a crashed on the wall right beside my head.

"Mom!" I screamed the sting from the glass that's embedded on cheek cause my vision to blur. "Didn't I tell you to not tell people my fucking business!" My mother said as walked up to me . "Mom what are you talking about ?!" I said as started backing up. "Don't act dumb Ember the neighbor offered she can give us food from her church!" Blood from my cuts dripped from my chin. I wiped my cheek which caused my to winced in pain. " Answer me!"  I Held my hands up in protest. "Mom please she asked if I wanted anything. She's nice mom she's just trying to help she understands how it can get." I plead. She walked up to me and was inches from my face , so close my sight doubled. "You let anyone know about our household business you want be living here." She said and slammed the door in my face.
