As I Fade

Chapter 4

I was woke up by someone shaking my shoulder, "Ember get up, class is over." I looked up and saw Mr. Darwin wearing a frown. I wipped the drool from my chin and sat up. "Sorry, I didnt know I had fell asleep." I said as I stood up. He pushed his glasses up his nose and shook his head. "Make this the last time you fall asleep in my class Ms. Stone." I nodded and headed towards the door. "Make sure you complete those assignements for homework!" Mr. Darwin yelled as I walked out the door.

The rest of the classes was uneventful and the bell rang for lunch. I hated going to lunch, I did not want to be around all those people. Especially not today. As I walked through the doors the lunchroom was alive with chatter. Every conversation, every voice, every laugh was rolled into one.

I sighed and walked over to the lunch line were I was greeted by the smell of pizza and my stomach instantly growled. "That will be 2.40" said the lunch lady with a tired face. I digged in my pocket and gave her the money. I began to walk away when she said "Your a dollar extra miss,"  "keep the change." I said and walked over to a vaccant table in the conner of the lunchroom

I sighed and looked around, this is one of the many reasons I hate lunch, Im a outcast. I shook  my head in anger and took a bite of my pizza. I was just an observer, someone in the background going unoticed. Only watching people live their lives but not being able to live myself. Blinking back tears as I looked out the window. The sky was an angry shade of grey and clouds began to surface. The bell rang causing me to snap back to reality.

The rest of the day was a blur. I was at my locker getting my coat and wham I was pushed hard into the locker. I fell to the floor holding my throbbing shoulder. "You really should watch where your going Ember, isnt this the second accident you've had today?" Lisa said with a sneer. I pushed my self up and my cheeks flushed as anger yook over me. "Bitch?!" I said behind gritted teeth. I stalked over to her "Do you have some fucked obession with me huh? Do you get off from it? Do you think of ways to fuck with me weird ass bitch." I growled. I shoved her and her head hit the locker with a loud thump. "You touch me one more time and I wont hesitate to beat the living shit out of you until my hands are soked with blood." I breathed as I pushed past her and grabbed my bag. I herd her scream "Freak!" as I walked out of the building.

The strong wind hit me and I shoved my hands in my pockects.  Walking with my head held high I smilled for the first time in months, and walked home. As I rounded the conner I noticed my mothers car parked in the driveway.
