Anyone who has ever been the new girl at a different school knows that is stinks.
No seriously, it stinks more than having to have a long talk to someone, face to face, that just ate a messed up mixture of garlic butter, onions, and something that's smell resembles to your brother's poop smell.
Yes, it is that bad.
Especially when your new name is, "The New Girl" for about a freaking month (or a month and three days if it's February) before the people in your new school starts to wonder, "Huh, maybe she has a first name that's not three actual English dictionary words long." So then they ask your name, and you tell them. Now knowing that your dreams of being called you're real name, let's say it's Colette, are finally achieved.
But no, life would be too good if it was that-a-way.
They forget it and they ask you again, and again, until you wish that your name was actually, "The New Girl." It's takes everybody another month to remember your name when it takes you about the exact same time to remember everyone that has classes with you names. Which is about 100 people on average, by the way.
It's a simple name really. Just Colette. Seriously. Colette, how hard is that to remember. That's all you ask, for people to remember your name, but all you get is...
"Dude, that's The New Girl."
"Hey, erm, New Girl over there..."
"Since you moved here from Kentucky, can I call you Kentucky Fried Chicken?"
And even though I said no to that last person, you know what he called me?
Kentucky Fried Chicken.
So yes, moving does stink. But it has it's pros and cons.
Pros: (Good stuff)
~You get to start all over, so any embarrassing mistakes that you made at your old school can go away. Forever. Yay.
~You get to act a certain way without people saying, is that how you normally are? Like if you were shy, you can be a bit better at speaking up. And guess what? No one would know that that's not how you normally are.
~If you got bullied at your old school, you can get away from them.
~Basically, you get to get away from all of the things that people judged you with.
Cons: (Bad stuff)
~You have no idea who the heck anyone is, so the whole lunch table picking is hard.
~You may be stuck being friends with someone you don't like for a long time.
~You really don't know who the person that you should never tell your secrets to is, so you'll tell her/him and it may be all over the school the next day.
~You don't know the school itself. You could be lost all day because your tour-er may be one of those really popular people, who always talk to their friends, and she may be talking to her friend the whole time, and you REALLY need to go to class, so...
Yeah, you get the gist.
~You may get something that I like to call RPD (Reversed Personality Disorder). (I'll tell you about that later).
