Jimin walked to the bench under the big tree. His hands felt a little cold, even though the sun was warm. Jungkook was already there, sitting quietly, looking at the sky.
"Hey," Jungkook said softly, not looking at him yet.
Jimin smiled shyly. "Hey."
They didn't say much at first. The wind moved the leaves above them, and small sounds of the school drifting home filled the air.
Jungkook finally looked at Jimin. "I'm glad you came."
Jimin's heart felt full but nervous. "Me too."
They sat close, but not too close. Just enough to feel the quiet company.
"Sometimes," Jungkook said slowly, "I feel like no one really understands me."
Jimin nodded. "Yeah... me too."
The words made a small bridge between them.
They shared a small smile. Their eyes met for a moment longer than usual.
Jimin wanted to reach out, but he didn't. He wasn't ready.
But it felt good just being near.

The next day, Jimin's chest felt lighter when he saw Jungkook at school. Jungkook's smile was small but warm, like a secret just for him.
During lunch, Jungkook sat nearby, and they talked about small things ... favorite songs, funny memories, little dreams.
When school ended, Jungkook asked softly, "Want to walk home with me?"
Jimin's heart beat fast. "Okay."
They walked slowly together, side by side. Their hands brushed once or twice, but neither pulled away.
At a quiet park bench, they sat down, watching the leaves fall.
"I like talking to you," Jungkook said quietly. "It's different. Comfortable."
Jimin smiled shyly. "I feel the same."
Neither spoke for a while. Just breathing the same air.
Jungkook shifted a little closer.
Jimin felt a small spark in his chest.
He looked up. Jungkook's eyes were warm, soft, but also full of something deep.
"I don't know what this is," Jungkook said, voice barely above a whisper, "but I want to figure it out."
Jimin's lips parted, but words didn't come.
Jungkook smiled gently. "We don't have to rush anything. I just want to be with you."
Jimin nodded, feeling like the whole world was quiet around them.
Because here, in this small moment, Jimin knew he was finally home.
