Two weeks had passed since Taylor had taken the pregnancy test that flipped her and Adams lives upside down. It was a Friday morning and both Adam and Taylor were free of any obligations for the day. They were going to the doctor for Taylor's first ultrasound. Adam was so excited he could barely sleep the night before, however on the opposite side of the spectrum was Taylor. She was so exhausted that she went to bed around 8:30 the night before and was out cold in the bed next to him. She really hadn't been feeling well, for her the morning sickness was constant, sometimes she would throw up three of four times just in the morning. Adam so desperately wanted to be able to make her feel better but there really wasn't any thing he could do. Taylor began to stir next to him, pulling him away from the little world inside his head.
"Morning love" mumbled Adam into Taylor's ear, "today's the day!" Taylor could feel the excitement in his voice, it was almost tangible. She rolled over to give him a kiss. "I know, believe me I know." She mumbled back to him, her voice still foggy with sleep. Adam let out a little sigh. Taylor had been incredibly stressed these past few weeks. She thought of absolutely everything that could go wrong. It was wearing down on her, that's for sure, but it was also starting to wear on him as well.
"Taylor, everything is fine, love, your healthy, the baby is healthy, and we are happy, try to relax for me please." "We don't know if the baby is completely healthy, that's the point of the ultrasound." She sounded quite exasperated but also worried. Adam knew why. She was worried about what she had done before she knew she was pregnant, she had drank and been extremely active especially since she was touring. She was nervous that her actions had harmed the baby. No matter what Adam said she couldn't be consoled, not about this. And deep down it made sense to Adam, she felt extremely responsible for the child she was carrying but he also wanted her to be able to enjoy the pregnancy. "Ok, ok, I know love. Let's just think positively, ok" at this she glared at him, feeling slightly patronized. Adams eyes grew wide at the look he was getting, the hormones were definitely kicking in, that's for sure. He couldn't help but smile and that just made Taylor even more upset. She just scowled at him and crossed her arms "what are you laughing at Wiles?" He just shook his head at her "my hormonal girlfriend, that's what" he replied. Taylor's face turned red. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I know I was just a jerk, you know how worried I am though, stop bringing it up." Said taylor. "Good point love, now how about breakfast?" At the mention of food Taylor turned pale and quickly hopped up and ran to the bathroom. Oh no, Adam had momentarily forgotten about the unspoken rule, don't mention food unless Taylor does. It set her off and made her sick more often than not. Adam quickly made his way into the bathroom behind her and knelt down to hold her hair right before she threw up. She threw up twice in about 10 minutes. The whole time Adam was there, rubbing her back and bringing her water and a cold towel. When she finally felt better she moved over and sat against the wall. She no longer felt sick but she felt weak. "Oh god I hate that so much, you don't even know." Mumbled Taylor. "I'm sorry love, if I could do something I would, you know I would gladly change places with you." Replied Adam. Taylor just rested her head against his chest and looked up and him, smiling. "I'll pass on the you now what" she said. "Ha, you sound like your talking about something dirty." He said laughing at her. "Mmhm" replied taylor, smirking at him.
