As she's about to exit his office...

She stops at the doorway, sweat beading on her forehead. Her hand is inches from the doorknob. She swallows hard before responding calmly and professionally.

She quickly leaves the office and walks as fast as she can, her heart pounding. She fears the CEO's watchful gaze, feeling trapped within the company, as if he has cameras in every corner of the country. Her only hope for survival is to continue pleasing the old man, though she wonders how long that will last before he discards her.
Mei Mei: *Breathing heavily* One more year... Just hold on...

After successfully negotiating with the managers of all the business buildings—forcing them under WhiteRock Company's control—Mei Mei takes a deep breath in her car, lighting a cigarette. The smoke offers little relaxation; the stress from her job remains. Looking out the window, she sees people going about their daily routines—working, dating, eating—a seemingly peaceful country. But that's only what they think. With the new president in power, life will never be the same. Everything is controlled, and people know they must be careful. There's no real freedom here, only false hope.
Mei Mei, taking a sigh inside her car while taking smoke. It may relax her mind but, the stress still build up because of the company. Looking outside, she sees people doing their routine, be it working, dating, eating at restaurant or whatever they doing. It seem peaceful country but so they thought, with new president now control this country. Life will not be the same as ever. Everything is in control, they know because they've to be careful. There's nothing about freedom in this country, it just a false hope.
Mei Mei: *Sighs* One more year, then everything will be settled. Damn it...
Closing her eyes briefly, she dreams of living alone in a penthouse. With her savings, her plans will eventually come to fruition. And her roommates? Screw them. She only did this for herself, to escape this hellhole.
Mei Mei: Let's go home. I'm tired...
She starts her car and drives home safely.
