"Dakota! Ashley! Get your butts out of bed before you end up late for school!" My mother hollers from the bottom of the stairs. I groan and move my covers higher over my body. I lay there for a few more seconds,more like 20 minutes,before a pillow forcefully hits the side of my face. I instantly sit up to see my sister, Ashley, standing there holding the pillow.
"You have 30 minutes to get your a.ss to school, Dakota. I would get up if I were you," Ashley said and left, not acknowledging the death glare I was giving her. I groan even louder than before and throw the covers off my body. A shiver is sent down my spine as the cold air hits my skin.
I make my way into the bathroom and get ready faster than ever. With my teeth brushed and light make up on my face, I go to my closet to pull out a simple pair of skinny jeans, maroon v-neck, and black converse. I run down the stairs making sure to stop in the kitchen to grab a simple banana before I rush out the door and hop into the passenger side of the already running jeep. Ashley immediately puts the car into drive and heads in the direction of school.
Once we arrive, we step out of our car and head towards the entrance to what i like to call a living hell, otherwise known as high school. The courtyard is filled with clueless freshmen, and just a bunch of people who I strongly dislike. But is where we meet up with our best friends, Avalon and Cassidy. "CC! AVA!" Ashley shouts from across the courtyard. "Dakota, Ashley!" Cassidy shouted back.
"How was your summer Cass?" Ashley asked once they got close enough. Soon A normal conversation was passing between us. All of a sudden I feel toned arms snaking around my waist so the person is hugging me from behind. My eyes quickly look to see that the toned, tanned arms belong to the one and only Calum Hood.
"Hello Dakota." Calum says as he pulls me into a bone crushing hug. "Hey Cal, where's Ash?" I ask, after looking around and noticing his absence.
"DAKOTA!" I hear Avalon shout. That's when i noticed that the girls walked away and were standing with some the fellow members of our little friend group. Ashton and Liam stood there while Harry and Niall cannot be found. With neither boy in sight we head to the Cafeteria, when suddenly the halls grew awkwardly quite. I turn around to see them, the so called 'bad boys' of our high school-Luke, Michael, Louis, and Niall(Yes Niall is also part of the bad boy group. But he's just welcomed by anyone and everyone).
I roll my eyes as the first bell to my senior year rings and I head to my first class.
I already know this will be a year to remember.
