She felt the moment hit her hard, and then
He didn't love her like she loved him the same.
She felt the darkness as it swallowed her and,
He looked away when she called out his name.

She is so lovely, so kind, with a heart of gold
And she knew him like no one else
But the love she gave him, he blindly sold
Just time until she writhes, slowly melts.

He's gotta a shield on his eyes, doesn't wanna take it off,
But when he does, maybe it'll be too late.
Maybe she'll still love him like she loves no other,
Or maybe mark him as her worst mistake.

But for now, he'll smile, so genuinely
And she'll feel her heart shaking in her ribs.
She'll smile back too...just friendly
And when he wont see, wont hear, wont know
She'll fall back into thoughts of his.
