Chapter 15

I opened my eyes and felt this unpleasant feeling that caused pain around my temples. I was about to sit up when I was suddenly hit by a lot of pain corse through my head. I laid back down and groaned in pain. My head felt like it throbbing and my chest feels like I can't breath. I suddenly felt this feeling of an tickle feeling coming from my nose and I let out a sneeze.

Ahh... Great.

I'm sick.

Now how on earth did I become sick? Levi makes us clean the house 3 times a week. So I don't understand how I become sick. I turned to my side and I felt like I couldn't breath out of my nose. Should I get out of bed? Eh, I should stay in bed, it's best if I get some rest and sleep it off. Then again, they'd be wondering why I haven't gotten out of bed... I just need to sleep more. I'm sure Levi would understand I would sleep longer in his bed.

Speaking of Levi when I woke up he wasn't next to me. It kinda makes me upset that he doesn't really stay in bed with me. I never wake up to him asleep beside me, I just wonder why he doesn't does he leave?

I brought a pillow close to my chest and closed my eyes falling asleep.

It seriously felt like I only slept for a few seconds when I felt someone shake my shoulder. I opened my eyes a little, only to have my headache from earlier come back. I turned my head slightly to see Levi remove his hand from my shoulder.

"Oi, wake up."

I groaned and I began to start coughing.

Aw man, I'm worse then I thought. I coughed again, and I put my face into the pillow.

"Your sick?" Levi asked.

"I don't know how I got sick." I sniffed and I felt my nose was stuffy. Great this was just perfect, I can't breath out of my nose.

"Tch, disgusting."

"Don't, please." I kept my face hidden in the pillow. He disgusted because I'm sick? Well that's Levi for you but still he doesn't have to act that way to me. I felt a sudden weight shift in the bed as I felt he sat down besides me.

"Turn towards me." He said.

I shifted and laid down on my back. His deadpan expression didn't change but I seen a little concern in his eyes. I probably looked horrible to him, I haven't looked in the mirror at all today, so who knows how horrible I looked.

He raised his hand to my cheek, I suddenly felt myself starting to blush as his sudden touch. He then moved his hand to my forehead.

I remember when I'd get sick my mom did the same thing. He was checking my temperature, a bit odd coming from Levi but also very sweet.

"You have a fever. You're burning up pretty bad." He said getting up. "I'm gonna get Farlan."

"Okay." I said.

Levi returned bringing Farlan into his room, and Isabel tagged along.

"Y/n you okay?" Isabel asked.

"I'm fine, I'm just sick." I replied and gave her a reassuring smile.

Farlan check my temperature the same way Levi did with me.

"I don't understand how I got sick." I said to Farlan.

"It happeneds, since everyone around us is very unclean, plus we live underground, sickness could spread pretty easily." He explained. "Can you sit up?"

I sat up but only to have the aching headache come back. I clutched my head and winced.

"Can you breath through your nose?"

I shook the head. "My nose is all stuffy and I feel like my head is throbbing."

Farlan crossed his arms. "Hm? I think you have a head cold Y/n."

"A head cold?"

"It's a pretty common thing that goes around kinda like that leg disease."

"How does she get better?" Levi asked.

"From what I know, a lot of rest and we should try to find some medicine for her chest." Farlan explained.

I looked at them confused. Medicine for my chest? Is there even such thing? And what does that have to do with anything? I looked at Levi and caught him as he was staring at me in bed. I blinked a few times and turned my gaze away from him. Why is he staring? I know I looked hideous but he doesn't have to stare.

"Where do we find it?" Levi asked.

"It's gonna be hard to find since we live down here, the best is try get it from the upper merchants." Farlan replied.

"Let's go. Isabel stay here with Y/n just in case."

"You got it Levi-bro!" Isabel smiled.

"I'll get the gear ready." Farlan said before walking out the room.

"Gear? The gear!? I wanna see!" Isabel said chasing after him, leaving Levi and I alone.

Levi came over to me before sitting down on the edge of the bed next to me.

"You don't have to do this for me Levi." I said.

He light flicked my forehead and I winced. "I don't like sick people, they're disgusting."

I felt a little hurt he said that, so I turned my head away from him.

"Oi." He gentle turned my head to face him again.
"I just... I want you to get better."

I felt my heart beat fast all of a sudden and butterflies in my stomach. I gave him a small smile. That's all I needed to hear from him.

He placed his head my cheek and rubbed his thumb on my cheek lightly. "I'll be back later. Get some sleep."

I nodded.

He removed his hand and got up, making his way out of the room. I smiled again and brought a pillow to my chest. I love it when Levi is caring like that. He's like that sometimes just around me, I love it.

I was about to close se my eyes until I heard the door open again. I turned my head to the door to see Isabel coming into the room.

"Hey Y/n." She smiled.

"Hey Isabel." I smiled back.

"Wow, I can't believe how much Levi-bro loves you."

"What do you mean?"

She grabs a chair from the side of the room and brings it next to me. "Going out to find the medicine for you."

"He'd do that for anyone of us."

"But he's worried about getting you back to health. No one does that for someone unless they love them that much."

Could Levi love me? I know we know said we liked each other but could he love me? And what about me? Do I love him? I stared at her for a moment.

"You should tell me about how you two met." She said.

"You really wanna know?"

She nodded. "Yes. You guys are cute, I just wanna know how soft Levi-bro is. I notice he never really smiles."

"He smiles, well, not all the time but very rare moments."

She puts her hands behind her head. "Ready when you are."

I smiled. "Well..."

In the time being, I told her about how I first met Levi and Farlan. She listens so well when I told her about the past few months from getting to know the two and then to how Levi was towards me in the very beginning. She was amazed about how he was when he kissed me told me and told me how beautiful I was to him.

She smiled from time to time as I continued to tell her about our relationship. When I finished the story she began talking to me about her life and how she ended meetings Levi and Farlan. I tried my best to listen more but my eyes got heavy on me. I blinked a few times trying to stay awake but I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer. I'm sorry Isabel, I need to sleep.

I closed my eyes and with Isabel voice fading as I fell inside a deep sleep.
