IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Chapter 27 received a significant edit! I realized after posting the chapter that in order for certain elements to make sense later in the story, Once-ler's interview with Business Times magazine would have to take place before he flew out for his TV appearance. Also he needs to start working on the design for that billboard we see in the movie. Oops! So, instead of Once-ler forgetting a second meeting with investors, I had him forgot his interview with the magazine instead, complete with a few additional scenes and some dialogue changes. A song in the playlist was also changed to accommodate this. I do recommend re-reading the chapter at some point, because the changed elements are going to be referenced later in the story.
Notes: As for this current chapter itself, Just a heads up that this chapter starts off light but does get a bit dark towards the end, as I hinted at last time. Nothing graphic, but it's somewhat intense.
Also, make sure you read (or maybe re-read) part 1 before you read part 2 so that way it makes sense.

When they arrived at the nightclub, Once-ler and his brothers stepped out of the limo, then headed over to the queue to get inside the building. After a short wait, they reached the front of the line, where the bouncer gave them a quick glance and immediately let all three of them inside, having recognized the expensive clothes they were wearing. After Once-ler, Brett, and Chet entered the club, the three brothers went past the dance floor and made their way towards the bar.
"What can I get for you?" the bartender asked them as they sat down on the bar stools.
After looking over the selection of bottles behind the bar, Brett and Chet each ordered a glass of gold tequila. Meanwhile, Once-ler remained undecided, until a bright emerald green bottle caught his eye.
"I'll take a glass of that green one." Once-ler told the bartender as he pointed at the bottle.
"You sure?" the bartender asked him with a raised eyebrow.
"Yes sir," Once-ler confirmed as he set a large wad of cash down on the table, which the bartender took without another word before he turned away to prepare the drinks.
The three brothers sat in silence for a while as they waited for their drinks, until Once-ler finally spoke. "Hey, I really appreciate you guys inviting me out tonight," he told his brothers with a sincere smile.
"No problem Once," Brett replied.
"We figured you could use some cheering up after everything that's been happening lately." Chet added.
Just at that moment, the bartender brought over their drinks. The twins could not help but notice the unusual green color of Once-ler's.
"Whoa, what is that stuff?" Brett asked.
"You know, I'm not really sure, but the color looks interesting." Once-ler remarked as he examined the alcohol inside the glass before taking a sip. When Once-ler tasted it, he tried not to wince. The drink was strong, with a flavor of bitter licorice. But with his brothers watching, Once-ler forced himself to swallow it, not wanting to give them an opportunity to make fun of him for being 'unmanly' by not being able to drink it.
