chapter 10

Sakura's pov

I was walking down the empty hallway. Everyone was in class and i was skipping it because i was not feeling well so i decided to go to the nurse room.

I turned around the corner and suddenly my body bump into someone. I closed my eyes, waiting for my butt to land first but instead, i felt pair of arms on my waist. I opened my eyes and my eyes widened.

"You're so clumsy, Sakura. Be careful next time" he said, still holding my waist. I slightly blushed and wiggle my way out of his arms. He notice and let me go.

"Sorry, i know im clumsy. I didn't mea- hey! what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class?" I said.

"And what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class too?" He said, crossing his arms.

I frowned, "i think i have a fever so i wanted to go to the nurse room" i said. He looked at me with worried eyes.

"You're sick? Come, let me walk you there" he insisted. I shook my head, "No it's fine, Sasuke. You should get back to class-"

"No" he cut me off. "I want to walk you there. Come"

Too tired to argue, i just let him walk me there. Besides, it was nice to have someone to be with me right now considering that this empty hallways are giving me chills.

"um.. hello?" I said as i entered the room. A nurse came from the corner with a smile.

"Oh hi Sakura! What's wrong?" She asked. Yes, she knows me because i've been here a lot of times. I gave her a smile.

"I think i have a fever. Can i rest here for a bit?" I asked.

" yeah, sure! Come in! I'll give you the medicine" she said and left to the cabinet. I sat down on the bed and she came to me with the medicine. I took it and lay down on the bed. Sasuke was still standing by the doorway.

"Um sasuke? You can go back to class now. I'm fine" i said to him.

He nodded, "But.. um.. can you still make it to our lunch? I mean, if you're sick then its f-"

"No, no, sasuke. I'll be fine after some rest. Meet me at the front" i said, with a smile.

He smile, nodded and left. Somehow i blushed. The fact that im going to have lunch with sasuke made me feel excited. Maybe it's because we've never spend time with each other like we used to before.

After two to three hours of nap, i woke up feeling great. I thanked the nurse and i quickly went to my locker, and grab my bag. As i was walking towards the exit, i heard a person calling me, "Sakura!"

I turned around and grinned as i saw Naruto. He was smiling and as he reached me, i wave at him. "hey, Naruto!"

"Where have you been? Why were you not in class? I was so worried! I mean, we were so worried!" Naruto asked, he was a bit panic. When Naruto said we, all of my other friends came to us; shikamaru, hinata, kiba, ino, neji and tenten.

"Sorry, i was not feeling good so i took a nap at the nurse room" i said then saying hi to the others.

"Well, are you feeling better now?" Kiba asked, resting his arm on Neji's shoulder. He scowled and pushed his hand away, annoyed.

I chuckled and nodded, "yes, feeling much better"

Ino then took a step forward and took out a paper from her bag. Then she gave it to me and i raised my eyebrow.

"Since you were not in class, i wrote down the homework that kakashi-sensei gave us. Also, the project we have to do and what you should bring tomorrow. It's all written here" ino said, grinning.

I grabbed the paper and scan my eyes through it. I looked at ino with a big smile. She's such a good friend. Im so grateful that she's my friend. I know she can be sassy and bossy sometimes but she can also be kind and caring.

"Ino... thank you so so so so so much!" I cried and hug her. Well, i didn't actually cried. But well you know what i mean.

Ino chuckled and hug back, "no problem" she said. I pulled away and we walked outside together. I spotted sasuke leaning his back on his car while looking at his phone. I said goodbye to them and walked towards him but stop as someone grabbed my hand.

It was Naruto.

"where are you going? My car is over there" Naruto said, pointing to his car which was far from here. Oh shoot! I forgot to tell Naruto. Usually after school he send me home. But not today though and i forgot to tell him that.

"Um well, you see Naruto.. Sasuke wanted to take me to eat lunch so we're going together right now" i said. His face frowned when i said sasuke's name and let go of my hand.

"Oh" he said, looking down. I felt so bad, i don't even know why.

"I'm sorry Naruto, i should've told you earlier... at least you get to go home early and not worry about sending me home" i said. He nodded sadly and i continue, trying to cheer him up, "Just for today, okay? See ya, Naruto" i said then left. Sasuke looked up from his phone as i approached him.

I must admit, he looked hot when he was leaning against his car, one hand in his pocket and the other holding his phone.

"Hey" i said. Suddenly my heart started to beat fast. What is happening??

"Hi" he said with a small smile. I was suprised though. Why? Because whenever i say hi to him he would reply; 'Hn'. And i also moticed that he had stop saying that.

Weird. What is wrong with him lately?

Well, i don't care though. As long as he is reminding me of his old true self.

"Let's go"
