Rachels pov :
Its been a year since I left McKinley and a lot has changed. For one thing Finn and I broke up . He broke up with me because he said he had feelings for another girl and that other girl turned out to be Quinn my ex best friend . Its funny because I cried for 3 weeks straight and then I came to the realization that Finn is just a boy who was my best friend . So in order to get over him I reinvented myself . Thats right the Rachel Berry who use to wear reindeer sweaters and knee high socks is gone . I decided to go with a more hipster/ rocker look . Now that I'm moving back to Lima things are going to be different I am still joining the glee club but I also decided to join the cheerios I took gymnastics while in New York so I'm experienced . I woke up this morning with a smile on my face and got dress put on my leather jacket with my black skinny jeans and a black shirt . I grabbed my bag and car keys , "Bye mom!" I yelled. "Wait!" She yelled coming out of the kitchen . She smiled gave me a bagel and said , "Here ." She said. "No thanks mom." I said. "You have to eat something. " She said. I smiled and said , "I'll see ya tonight." I said and gave her a hug . Ever since I've moved to New York Shelby and I got really close . I still miss my dads but its good knowing I have my mom around . I pulled up to the McKinley parking lot and parked . I got out of the car and walked into school . I smiled and walked down the hall . This is your year Berry and no one will ruin .... my thoughts we're interrupted when I ran into someone . "Oh sorry.... Rachel?" I looked and saw him the boy who broke my heart and then suddenly it felt like I was that girl from sophomore year. "Finn, hi." I said. "When did you get back from New York?" He asked me. "Last week." I told him. "Oh well that's great..." "Goodmorning handsome. " Quinn said and kissed him . It felt like a huge slap in the face. She then noticed me, "Rachel I didn't reconigze you . " She said. "Yeah um I better go." I said. "I'll see you at glee club?" Finn asked . "Yeah." I said and walked away . I went to my locker only to find myself in the mist of Kurt Hummel . "Rachel Berry is that you!" He said shocked to see me . "Hi Kurt ." I said. "I love the new look." He told me. "Thanks ." I said. "I'm assuming by that look on your face you saw Quinn and Finn." He said . "Yeah how long has that been going on for?" I asked him. "Well a month after you and Finn broke up. He was a wreck ." He told me. "Doesn't seem like that now." I said. "Yeah but anyway how was New York City I'm sure you loved living there. " He said. "I did but I missed Lima and glee club ." I said. "Well we missed you too." He said and gave me a hug . "Well I gotta go but I'll see you later okay." I said. "Okay." He said and left . I looked at Finn and Quinn once more . How could he choose her over me? I thought and then left .
