"'If Newt went up there, then I wanna talk to him.'"
This passage shows how much of an effect Newt has on Thomas. After just one interaction, Thomas already feels drawn to talk to Newt and ask him questions. This would be another example of that bond we talked about previously.
"Thomas regretted having come inside in the first place-but he did want to talk to that Newt guy."
This excerpt would be the same as the one above as far as evidence. It is simply shown through thought and action rather than speech. The fact that he is going up at all shows that he is very drawn to Newt and already will make 'sacrifices' for him.
Sadly, there was very little evidence in this chapter, and all of it was simply reiterating what we found in previous chapters. It is hopeful that more evidence will appear in the near future.
Hi!!!! Sorry for not updating earlier; I've been surprisingly busy. Anyways, another update should be up in a few. (I don't think the next chapter has much either.) Thanks for reading this random klunk, by the way! Love you guys!
Have a great evening, afternoon, morning, night, dawn, dusk, midnight, etc.
