BEING NICE 12

The night was still very young and innocent, well atleast no one was screaming yet. Kim was getting sick of whatever the hell was following her anytime she steps on the street.She wasn't the type to go to the cops except if she had to urgently since she is used to handling things herself. She was very young when she witnessed her mom being brutally killed and her father beaten to almost dying. Eversince then, she took to herself to get justice after the court ruled the murderer not guilty due to inefficient evidence. She learned a few kicks and boxes from a friend and found a way to make her father settle somewhere else whilst she did all the sniffing and peeking secretly. She left the past behind hoping not to find traces of them anymore and now, she felt as if eyes were on her every move.

Thoughts of her messed up family and life kept flashing in her head as she walked on to the girls lodge to get her things. A few steps to the door, she noticed two figures with her guesses being a male and female. They looked like they were arguing and the guy was constantly pulling the girl's arm with her pushing him away. Well, she thought, it was none of her business as she continued to walk over to the door. She couldn't see clearly who the girl was since she had her back on to her. But the guy, his face was very clear with his piecing eyes throwing daggers and ice at the girl he was arguing with. In Kim's opinion, he looked a little old, with a face tanned moustache on his chin. His hair was coffee black combed in an abnormal wave. He looked abusive even in his well dressed shirt and khaki. The girl infront of him pulled his hand off her neck when he tried to kiss her and then he pulled her hair back aggressively. Kim had had enough but she wasn't going to intrude eventhough the girl looked like she could use some help. Her back looked familiar and the fact that she was standing right infront of the lodge with a jumpsuit on trying to stand straight. Kim shrugged her shoulders indecisively and continued to walk on to the door trying her hardest best to ignore the corky and puking smile on the guy's face and the delima the girl was showing. Kim rolled her eyes in frustration when she heard the girl screech "let go of me asshole" and turned to them right when she was about to turn the doorknob.

Not that Kim was a fun of abuse, she hated men who used women as their punching bags and this skyface was no diffrent.

"Everything okay over there?", She shouted loud enough for them to turn their heads to face her and then she saw who it was, Liana. She was a little surprised but she made no sign of showing it.

The guy in the striped shirt and khaki eyes Kim with a scowl and answered,"Yeah. Not that is any of your business if everything wasn't okay", he smirked.

Kim stepped down from the door and gave him a wary smile,"Not that is any of your business too but I wasn't talking to you. I was talking to her so just for the record I will ask again, Everything okay over there?".

"Errr...yeah, everything is fine", liana answered and then turned to the angry guy,"William was just leaving".

He turned sharply to Liana and clenched his fist angrily, "Oh no, I'm not going anywhere that's unless you are coming with me".

Kim gave a small smile as if she was mocking him and then turned her head sideways. She shrugged her shoulders again and went back to the door.

William grabbed Liana's arm again and pulled her along with him when she screamed in clenched teeth,"Just go away!".

"Well just so you know, there is a patrol car with a sheriff in it two blocks away, just in case you wanna scream. I think is even a block away, excuse me",Kim said nicely and then turned the doorknob to go inside.

"I already told you, we are done william. Am not going anywhere with you!", Liana protested again.

"Don't talk to me like that you ungrateful bitch!", William warned.

Liana couldn't believe her ears,"Fuck you William!, Get the hell out of my lawn you psychopath. You disgust me, I regret ever letting you anywhere near me. Get out of my way". She pushed him to walk away then he blocked her with his leg and she hit her forehead on the pole between them. She heard him giggle and then stretched his arms in mockery.

"Don't think you can ever get rid of me that easily Liana. Don't forget that you are here because of me", He pulled her arm in a twist and she screamed in pain.

"Let go of me right now. I said leave me alone!". Liana shouted then the door clicked and Kim came out. She was just by the door just in case.

"You heard the lady, now be a gentle prick and let her go".Kim said as nicely as she could in clenched fists.

"And who the hell are you to tell me what to do?, her mom, wife, or granny since you look old", William spitted out to Kim as she just smiled and walked over to them. She noticed Liana's forehead bleeding.

"Am the granny who is gonna make sure you don't have enough room for a new set of teeth. If you don't get the fuck out of here right now, you would wish you stayed back in your mom's womb the first moment you heard push from the outside world", Kim said with anger in her eyes to William who only smirked and let go of Liana's arm.

"Look old lady, better run. You don't wanna mess with me".William said with a gaze.

"Kim...is okay...I can handle this", Liana said making eye contact with Kim who ignored her.

"Yeah. .Of course you can handle this. Besides, I don't wanna get my hands dirty with ...that", then she smiled again.

"Did you just...call me "that"?", William asked Kim angrily with eyes spitting fire whilst Kim moved forward and just smiled.

"Did your mama never teach how to treat a lady", or you just missed her classes?", Liana bit back a laugh when William angrily looked at her."Now is either you get out of here, or I make you, which, trust me...you won't even wish that for your worst enemy. Oh and while you are at it, repeat this piece of advice in your head, never hurt a lady or call her names even if she deserves it".

William snarled at Kim and Liana who kept hiding smiles and then walked away saying,"You will see me again".

"Count on it", kim shouted back. She headed back to the lodge as Liana followed silently. They both took the elevator to their floor not saying a word to eachother which was pretty comfortable for Kim but disturbing for Liana.
