chapter 19. A week later.

Joy POV.

I put two blue pills in my mouth, washing them down with champagne. I knew what I was doing.

"So the colors, I was thinking blue. No maybe pink? Joy-Anna are you even listening?" Mama questioned, I stared at mama as she talked.

I nodded" Of course I am."

"Good, now for the reception. Do you want a ballroom?" Mama asked.

"Mama, I don't see why we have to make it a big deal" I sighed.

"Because! You've been married for 10 years that's a big deal." Mama stated.

I rolled my eyes and listen to her blabbering for another half hour.

"The kids are A sleep." Elvis resorted, closing the door.

"Thats good." I replied, dryly.

I heard a pill bottle, and I paled.

"Joy-Anna, when did you get this?" Elvis questioned me.

"Is it any of your business!" I protested.

Elvis stood up from the bed, narrowing his eyes. "Tell, me. I want to help you!"

I ignored him, walking past and slamming the bathroom door.

"Joy! Joy, you come out this minute!" Elvis banged against the door.

I with shaky hands I swallowed two more blue pills. I slowly felt my eyes drop.

Elvis POV.

I was in a state of panic, I rushed down stairs in the main living room.

"Its, Joy! Marilyn please help!!" I shouted. Marilyn got up from Red's lap, running with me back upstairs.

"Joy! Honey, it's Marilyn. Please open the door." Marilyn, quickly says.

We waited and waited and nothing.

"I got a key. "I whispered to her, I went in my underwear drawer and grabbed the key.

We rushed through the threshold, my Heart raced seeing Joy lying on the floor.

I picked her up cradling her in my arms."Baby, baby please. Please wake up."

I watched Joy's chest, her eyes closed. She looked so pale. My mind was chaos, I couldn't breath without her. I needed her to live.

"Mommma, Mommaaa! I want Mommma!!!" Mia toddled around, in the hospital room.

"Why don't I take the kids for ice cream?" Marilyn stood from the leather chair, just inches away from Joy.

"No! I want Momma." Aaron frowned.
"Come on, I'll get your favorite." Marilyn smiled.

"I want two scoops!" Amelia jumped up.

"I'm, here. I'm here!" Mary-Ann rushed through the door.

"Grandma!" Amelia rushed towards her. Her blond hair flying.

"E, we'll take the kids." Joe said, standing up by the Door.

I didn't reply, but hold Joy's hand tightly not wanting to let go. Daddy patted me on the back before leaving me alone with Joy.

"Elvis... I love you." Joy whisper, tearfully.

"Dont you know, I love you too. " I replied, stroking her cheek.

"I'm terrified, I don't wanna leave." Joy sobbed, softly.
