cause for concern

"The guys in the team got what?"

"Food poisoning," Minji explained patiently. She stood in front of the math club members and she fidgeted with the hem of her striped shirt. "Jeongwoo, Hanbin, and two other guys in their posse ate the ninety-nine cent shrimp from Breadstix last night and we think it was planted by the opposing team to get us to forfeit. And I know it might be too much to ask, but – Jake, Haerin, Kazuha, and Minjeong, please, we need your help."

"And what do you want them to do, exactly?" Danielle asked. She sat beside Haerin, her arm draped around the back of Haerin's chair, her fingertips touching the curve of the feline's shoulder.

"We need them to join the team for one game—just so we have enough players to qualify—"

Danielle raised her brow. "You want Haerin to play football and run the risk of getting pulped by big, burly guys?"

"Gee, thanks for your concern for us too, Danielle," drawled Jake.

"Danielle meant to express concern for all four of us," Haerin said hurriedly.

"Not really—"

Haerin clamped a hand over her girlfriend's mouth. "As I was saying—we'll do it! This way, if the football team wins and they see that math club members were part of it said victory, maybe they'd think of joining math club, or at least, they'll stop bullying us as much."

"Are you sure you want to do this?" Danielle asked, her arms now crossed over her chest. "Have you been to a football game? Some of these guys are huge—bigger than either Minji or Jisung. You're going to get hurt."

Haerin smiled and took Danielle's hand to kiss the back of it. "Our friends need help. What kind of a friend would I be if I didn't at least try to help them?"

The blonde head cheerleader's eyes softened, and Minji sighed in relief—only to suck the air she exhaled back into her lungs when Danielle wheeled to face her with her iciest glare. "If Haerin gets so much as a tap from anyone, you'll see how pissed I can get."

"O-okay," Minji sputtered.

Minji told the math club members to have dinner an hour before the game started, which was at seven. There was no need to go to practice since, if everything goes according to plan, they would not have to play at all. Given that they have plenty of time to get ready, Danielle went home with Haerin to get some homework done before she had to go and coordinate the Cheering squad for their halftime performance.

"This will be my first chance to see you perform your routine!" Haerin exclaimed as she bounced on the bed beside Danielle. She stepped out of her cheerleading uniform for a moment and reclined on Haerin's bed wearing Haerin's clothes—the tiniest shorts and a shirt that barely covered her stomach. When Haerin handed these articles of clothing to her, she raised a brow but changed into them anyway. "I'm so excited."

"I'm not," Danielle muttered, pulling Haerin to lay on the bed with her. She turned her back towards Haerin and the feline immediately curled against her back to spoon her. Haerin kissed Danielle's nape, her palms grazing the swell of her hip, her stomach. "I'm not looking forward to you getting mauled and getting hurt. You know," she turned her head a bit so their eyes met. "I don't think you know exactly what you're getting into."

"You're right. I know absolutely nothing about football," Haerin's hand disappeared up Danielle's shirt and tugged down the cup of her bra so she could weigh her tits in her hands. Haerin pressed her hips against Danielle's ass and nuzzled her neck with wet, open-mouthed kisses along her pulse.
