Close Enough?

After rehearsal was over Grace found Camy making out with Lex on the hood of the Jeep.

''She's going to break your heart, Lex,'' said Grace interrupting.

''You're just jealous,'' said Lex turning around smirking with lip gloss all over his lips.

''Me jealous of you please.'' declared Grace jumping in the Jeep.

''You don't have a man. That's why.'' declared Lexus.

''If I wanted one I would have one,'' she responded.

''Bye,'' said Camy to Lex as she got in the Jeep and drove off.

''Why don't you want a boyfriend?''asked Camy finally.

''I like boys as my friends not my soul mate,'' said Grace.

''Well, why don't you just try one.''

''Nope. Never,'' she replied and it was silent.

When they reached the dorm Tasha and Alaine were gone again.

''I'm gone,''said Camy walking out the door.

Grace went up to her bed and started listening to the songs she was going to sing. She then fell asleep.

''Wake up sleepy head,'' said Camy over her.

''What time is it?' Grace asked sleepily.

''Time for school,'' replied Camy.

''Did I sleep so long?''she asked getting up.

''Yes.''

She got ready putting on her usually. Black sleeve less blouse, boots with spikes, black short flare skirt and a black tights. She grabbed her bag and joined the other girls in the car.

Class started late and everyone talked about the competition. The day ended and everyone went to the auditorium and took their seats and Grace went backstage. The set up everything nicely and Grace songs were perfectly on the track.
Finally it started and they went up stage to introduce themselves. And the singing started.
Casey went first, then Dan then Vaughn then Grace.
Then they sang their second songs.
''If you favour Casey shout,'' said the MC.
Few shouted.

''If you favour Dan shout,''
A lot more shouted.

''If you favour Vaughn shout,''
The same number shouted.

''If you favour Grace shout,''
Nearly everyone shouted.
Grace was shocked and was happy.

''Well here are the numbers; Casey 950; Dan 1045; Vaughn 1040 and Grace 1045. There's going to be a face off here. Let's give up for Dan and Grace.

Dan went first and sang the song he auditioned with. Grace did the same and then MC said.

''If you love Dan scream,''
There wasn't a lot of screaming.

''If you love Grace scream,''
The screams were so loud you'd swear the glasses would break.

''Grace is our winner,''
There was a sudden scream from backstage. And Casey came running out as mad as ever.
''No she's not the winner she screamed,'' and she ran after Grace with a metal pole.
