Chapter 1
A typical Thursday evening, surfing the Internet as the rain crashed down outside creating nothing but the almost silent eerie pitter patter of rain hitting on my bedroom window, I could hear my brother and sister, Layla and Joel fighting downstairs.
I shifted my position as the light from the window was reflecting off my laptop causing a glare on my crystal blue eyes.
I reached up to swipe my brown dip-died hair out of my face watching as it changed colour from the same chocolate brown I had know all my life to the newly died blond tips.
I was told this look wouldn't suit me but I felt I needed a change in my life so I went and did it anyway and it turned out to be a pretty good result.
I opened up twitter and scanned down through feeds between two of the boys from one direction, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne, with the occasional chip in from the other members.
I chuckled to myself as I scrolled to see the 'fight' unfold, thinking to myself that they're probably all in the same room getting along swimmingly, having a fake fight over twitter because their managers said that it would be good publicity.
Ehem NO!
Just as I was about to log off the Skype tune blasted through my speakers, startling me and causing my eyes to widen.
I hit the answer button and the screen flicked onto the image of my best friend Thomas or Tommo as I call him.
"Hey Ronnie! What's happening?" Tommo greeted.
"What do you want Tommo?" I questioned blankly.
"Gee I sensing all of the love radiating from you Ron. What's got your knickers in a twist, huh?" I was finding it hard to keep a straight face with that last comment but I pushed on.
"Well considering that it's half eleven and we both have to get up at half-six tomorrow morning for the last day of school before summer, I could really be using this time to freshen up my brain and catch some shut-eye for several hours rather than talking to you," I stated in a monotone.
"Wow, well then I'll just have to overlook your extremely sassy attitude. who thought I'd ever see the day when Ronnie Loise Lee would have ever turned down the offer to talk to the one, the only Tommo Oliver McIde. I guess I'll just take it that she's PMS'ing at the moment and talk to her tomorrow when she picks me up in her new mint green mini to take me to school!" he stated enthusiastically. "Bye then!" he said and I followed.
"K, Bye" I said waving at the web-cam, sleep overtaking every inch of my body.
"And with that I shall make my dramatic exit!" He shouts shaking his computer monitor before hitting the end call button.
I can never understand the energy that boys have.
I shut down my computer, got into my pj's, and climbed into bed.
Without a moment to let myself think my body had already dragged me into a calm dreamless nights sleep.

I awoke startled to the sound of a car alarm.
I stirred awake slowly and rubbed the sleep dust from my eyes, unaware of the late time my body had broke itself from sleep, I glanced at the clock.
OH SHOOT!
7:00am!
I had overslept by half an hour and worse, I had to be at Tommo's in 25 minutes!
I guess I'll be skipping the much needed shower I had neglected yesterday, I rose from my bed and ran into the bathroom.
Not watching my footing I slammed my toe into the door frame, tripped over and narrowly missed hitting my head on the wash basin of the sink.
I climbed up to the cabinet to get my toothbrush, face wash, make-up(not that I wore cake loads or anything) and perfume, only being 5"3 this was a difficult task.
Don't dis short people okay. I ran the tap, filling the sink with steaming hot water and began the long process of getting ready.
Sometimes I wish I was a boy, not having to put any effort in and only waking up 10 minutes before having to leave to get to places.
When I was finally done getting ready I took a glance at the clock and saw that it was 7:23am.
Time to leave to get Tommo, I only had enough time to grab a snack bar out of the cupboard for breakfast, I had to make do with my only option.
I flung myself out of the door and hopped into my car I was proud to be the only one out of my friends to be able to get my drivers license but let's just say my family was a bit better off than others, but no-one ever said that having money didn't come with a cost.
To earn the highly commended, and payed, place my mother has at the company she works for, she has to focus most of her time trying to keep up the status.
Sometimes it seems she cares more for work than me, Layla, Joel, Matty, and Cara. I wish she could be around and help with stuff normal mothers would.
The person in the household that takes her place would be me.
Taking over, cooking, getting ready for bed, telling my brother and sisters what they can and can't do, getting ready to go out and stuff that I shouldn't be doing, my mother should.
Me and Matty are twins he has always been really protective until he got his latest girlfriend and he no longer seems to care that much but he used to be the most protective over who I date even though I'm the elder twin by about 4 minutes.
To be honest I think that he's always been jealous over the fact that I came out of my mothers vagina first.
The only real time I get for myself anymore is after everyone has gone to bed and when I'm at school.
Not that school is all that great either, I mean, I don't dislike popularity but it isn't the greatest of situations, when people put pressure on your every move to be a perfect example to everyone else.
Like for example, when you have a bad hair day and you think your look is totally off but the next day suddenly that look is cool and everyone chooses to look like that.
But I'm sure that I'd hate to not have any friends at all so I keep my best friend Tommo close and leave the rest to think they know me, but in actual fact they don't at all.
I beeped my horn as I pulled up outside Tommo's house, at quarter to eight, just on time.
Being the clumsy person that he is he came stumbling out of his house and as he reached the bottom step he tripped sending books and sheets of paper flying everywhere.
But rather than being the helpful person that I am and getting out to help him I just sat there and laughed until he finally got over to the passenger side and climbed in.
"Gee thanks for getting out and helping me," he said as I pulled away from the curb.
" Well you know me, always there to lend a helping hand!" I retorted.
"I don't know," he started, "I think It's something to do with your selective hearing."
"Oii!" I exclamed as I leaned over and hit him hard on the upper right arm.
"Like I said last night, your definitely PMS'ing, now concentrate on driving before you get us both killed!"
"Okay mother," I huffed turning back to the road. That reminded me I was going to have to exchange stern words with Tommo later about the late night Skype call I received last night that caused me to sleep-in.
