Luke sat on the couch and huffed, scrolling through TV channels. He couldn't believe last night he had sex with Camila. He wanted to jump off a cliff. Why did his intoxicated self even think of doing that?
He groaned and tossed the remote onto the other side of the couch, laying down.
"I can't believe it." Ashton shook his head from the other couch.
"Shut up." Luke grumbled. "I was drunk."
"Poor girl." Ashton mumbled, brushing a hand through his hair. "She's probably single now."
"I don't care." Luke spat. He got up and strode out of the room, running into Calum in the kitchen.
"I made muffins." He grinned.
"Fuck off." Luke spat, "where's Michael?"
Calum pointed to Michaels room, Luke pushing past him and pushing through Michaels door. Michael was playing video games, his head turning to glare at Luke.
"You wanna go get Taco Bell?" Luke sighed, stepping in left over lasange from Calum's cooking 2 days ago. He screwed up his face in disgust.
Michael nodded and turned his game off, standing up and following Luke out the door. Luke stormed out the door, taking Calum's keys on the way.
Calum watched intentionally, glancing at Ashton who shrugged.
Luke and Michael sat in Taco Bell, Luke tapping his foot quickly as Michael ate slowly.
"This tastes good." Michael spoke, his mouth full of taco. Luke glared at him, stopping when he saw who stood behind him.
Simon stood in the line, glancing down at his phone. He looked around, locking eyes with Luke. Luke had a black eye, which he hid with his glasses. Simon snickered and turned to look at the menu above the cashier.
Luke nervously looked around and ate his food quickly.
"Hey mate." Simon said from behind him, making him jump.
"Oh-um-hey." Luke mumbled. Michael frowned, turning to look at Simon with wide eyes.
"Hey, sorry for punching you in the face." Simon laughed, making Luke frown in anger. "It wasn't your fault that you slept with my girlfriend. She can be a fucking slut sometimes."
"Oh." Luke looked around, trying not to look Simon in the eyes. "Has it happened before?"
"No."
"Oh."
"Well," Simon pat Luke on the back, "I've gotta take this food home to her."
"Oh, you didn't break up?" Luke was confused as to how Simon would stay with her after what she did.
"Obviously. I'm all she has." Simon laughed, "plus, her mother has loads of money."
Michael scoffed under his breath, standing up. "Let's go Luke." He tugged Luke outside and sighed.
"What a dickhead." He hissed, "I feel sorry for Camila. He probably just uses her for sex and money."
Luke kept quiet, digging his hands in his pockets and walking.
"Don't you feel sorry for her?" Michael questioned.
"Not really." Luke huffed, climbing into Calum's car. "I don't want to be involved with her ever again."
"You're such a prick." Michael spat, climbing into the drivers seat and starting the car. "You're so arduous."
"What the fuck is that supposed to mean?" Luke scoffed. Michael rolled his eyes and pulled out of the carpark.
"Look it up."
So Luke did. Once seeing the meaning, he turned and glared at Michael, who kept his eyes fixated on the road in front of him.
(If you wanna see the meaning, look in the description of this book. I'm just too lazy to type it.)
Luke's phone rang and he looked down to see Calum was calling.
"Hello?" Luke spat into the phone. He heard shuffling on the other end, until Calum started to speak.
"How long are you from home?" He asked.
"About a block away," Luke sighed, "why?"
"Um," Calum went silent, "your mums here."
"She is?" Luke said in a surprised tone.
"Uh, yep."
Luke and Michael went up the elevator in an awkward silence, landing on their floor and both storming out. Michael opened the door and stormed in, Luke following in shortly after.
He looked around and frowned. "Where's my mum?" He scoffed. "I thought you said she was here?"
"I lied." Calum frowned.
"Why?"
Then, Calum ushered Luke to the lounge room. Luke followed then stopped in his tracks when he saw Camila sitting on the couch, looking like she just woke up.
"Oh fuck no."
Luke really was arduous.
