Chapter 1: Airport

"Bella! You have everything ready to go?" Dad yells from the front door. He has two suite cases with him.

I run down the hall with a suite case and a backpack. "Ready!" I say.

"Ok, let's go!" Dad opens the door of my aunts house. We've lived with my aunt ever since my mom died when I was three.

I hug my cat who's waiting by the door. "By Stripes." I say to my orange striped cat. Then I hug my dog. "By Max," I say to my golden retriever. "I'll be back sooner than you think.

"Bye! Be carful!" My aunt Nancy yells out the door as we make our way to the car.

I sit in the back seat. "Take good care of Max and Stripes! And make sure to feed Skippy!" Dad pulls out of the drive way. "Don't forget to feed Blue and Cocoa!" Blue and Cocoa are my Bearded Dragons. They're sisters.

We arrive at the airport. Dad parks the car and helps me out with my bags. "Let's get on the plane before it's too late!" Dad takes his bags and I take mine. We walk through the airport. I see a shop. "Can we look in there?"

Dad rolls his eyes and chuckles. "Why not." We go in and I find a heart necklace.

I run to my dad and shove it in his face. "Can I get it, dad, please!" I beg.

He takes it and looks at the price tag. "Five dollars, huh? You really want it?"

I nod my head real fast. "Yes! Yes! I really really want it!"

Dad takes another look at it. He opens it. "Alright, as long as it can have one picture of me, and one of both of us." He jokes.

"I know your joking, but that's what I want in it." I take the necklace and run up to the counter, dad behind me. He pays for it then we go and get on the plane. We sit down, me with the window seat.

"You scared?" Dad asks me as we begin to take off.

I shake my head. "No way! This is great!" We take off, and I look out the window, watching as the plane meets the clouds.

Hi, I'm Bella Grady. I'm 13 years old. I have reddish/brown hair and blue eyes. I love animals and dinosaurs.

My dad was in the navy for a couple years, at least that's what he told me. I wanted to go with him so I can be with him because I haven't been with him much. That's what I'm most excited about on this trip. I don't care how long we will be there, as long as I can be with my dad.
