Chapter 3: New Home

Maya and I practically drag dad off the boat. As we are walking towards the monorail, Maya stops us.

*Maya's POV*

I stop my dad and Bella. "Look!" I point at a man holding a sign that says "Owen, Bella, Maya".

Dad smiles. "We have a sweet ride to our new home, don't you think?"

"Yeah," I giggle.

Bella giggles too. I smile at her.

I can't believe I have a twin! And we even look almost exactly alike! And we get to live at Jurassic World... Together! With our dad!

I haven't seen Bella for, well, my whole life. I'm so happy to be here with my dad and Bella.

Bella snaps me back into reality when she grabs my arm and says "Maya, come on! We gotta go!"

I grab my suitcase. "Right, almost forgot."

I bet she is as shocked as me with all this happening. Dad back from the navy and now has a job at Jurassic World! Us being twins, I mean, I was screaming with excitement when my uncle told me to get packed for this!

We sit in a jeep and the man begins to drive us far out from the park. About thirty minutes, we reach a small cabin.

"Here we are." The man says and helps us inside. "Mr. Grady, you will have to attend a meeting with Ms. Dearing."

Dad nods. "Alright, I'll be right there." Dad turns to us. "I'll be back later, there are two bedrooms, one for you two, one for me. Choose which ever one your girls want, then set up your stuff. I'll be back." Dad gives us both hugs before leaving.

Once dad leaves, it's just Bella and I. We haven't seen each other for thirteen years, so we must have something to talk about.

"Maya," Bella days before chuckling. "I just," she pauses, "I never thought that I'd ever go to Jurassic World, or most importantly, have a twin."

I smile then hug her. "Neither did I." I sit on the couch. "I'm happy to know that your my twin, though."

Bella sits next to me. "So, how have you been? Do you love dinosaurs?"

I laugh. "I love dinosaurs, and I'm guessing you do too. My favorite is the velociraptor. What's your?"

"Velociraptor."

I look at her wide eyed, surprised we both like carnivores. "Cool! We both love 'em." I smile once again. "And I've been great."

"I've been great too."

I sigh, "Let's set up our room. We deserve the biggest, 'cause we are sharing." I smirk.

"Good thinking. I brought flower lights and streamer!" Bella grabs her decorations out of her backpack.

I look through my suitcase. "I have posters? And...." I shuffle things around. I gotta have something in here. "Ah! I also have a picture frame. We can put any picture in it."

*Bella's POV*

Maya looks at her heart necklace. It's similar to mine. It has a picture of dad, and her. "This is you. Not me." Maya says.

I look at my necklace. "And this is you."

"We have pictures of each other." Maya snickers.

I snicker too. "I guess so."

"Let's decorate. There is one bed here. I have a sleeping bag, so we can switch every night, sound like a plan?"

I nod my head. "Yeah!"

We set up our room. By the time we finished, dad was back.

"How'd it go?" I ask.

"Great," dad says. "Your room set up?"

Maya hugs him before saying "Yep! We have the bigger room!"

"That's not fair!" Dad says while crossing his arms over his chest.

I giggle. "I think it is fair! There's two of us."

"And one of you." Maya adds in.
