Chapter 4: Meeting Our New Family

*Bella's POV*

Dad stands up. "Girls, it's time for bed, ok?"

I nod, and so does Maya.

Maya yawns. "Guess I am tired. What 'bout you, Bella?"

I yawn after Maya then rub my eyes. "Maybe."

Dad pats our backs and gently pushes us back to our rooms. "Get into your beds and go to sleep. We have a BIG day tomorrow. You get to meet the dinosaurs I'm gonna work with."

I lay in the sleeping bag while Maya gets into the bed. "What are you working with?" Maya asks eagerly.

Dad shrugs his shoulders. "It's a surprise. We gotta get up and leave at a certain time."

"When?" I ask.

"You girls need to be ready by eight-thirty." Dad says then walks out. I can hear him go into his room.

"Eight-thirty?" Maya asks with a sigh.

"It's better than five in the morning, isn't it?" I ask whispering.

Maya whispers also. "I guess."

"We really should be getting to bed now."

"Ok. Goodnight, Bell."

"Night, Maya."

My eyelids become heavy and I fall asleep, in my warm comfortable sleeping bag. I just can't wait to see what dinosaurs dad is gonna work with tomorrow. I just can't wait.

*Maya's POV*

I wake up by sun shining into my eyes. I look around the room. No Bella to be found.

I still can't believe we are twins. I've never knew I had a sibling, but she I find out, it's not only a sibling, but a twin! I really happy about it.

"Get up, Maya! Time for breakfast!" Bella yells from outside our room.

I get up and walk out to the small kitchen area. Bella is by the stove making scrambled eggs.

"Found eggs and a frying pan, you want some?" She asks me.

I nod my head. "Why not?"

I get a bowl and put eggs into it and get some water. Bella puts eggs into a bowl, and finds milk in the fridge after looking for three minutes.

"I can't believe we get to meet he dinosaurs dad's gonna work with today!" Bella squeals.

I clap my hands. "I know, right! I hope it's something good, like a carnivore.

Bella takes a look at her phone. "We better get dressed. It's seven-thirty. We got an hour."

I nod my head. "K, let's go. We can just get dressed."

We go back to our room and riffle through our clothes. I finally find a black tank top with a sunset on a beach with palm trees. I find denim shorts too. I get dressed and make sure my phone is charged for the day.

*Bella's POV*

I find a Garfield t-shirt and purple shorts. I check my phone. 80%. That's good. And it's only eight. That gives us thirty minutes to get done what ever we need.

*30 mins later*

"Girls! Let's go! Don't you wanna see what dinosaurs I'm goons work with?"

Maya and I nod our heads and jump with excitement.

"Let's go then!" Dad motions for us to go out to his new jeep.

Maya and I hop into the jeep, along with dad. Then he drives us to a giant cage like thing.

We get out and dad takes us into the cage. "Ready to meet your new family?"

We nod our heads again. "Are they carnivores?" Maya and I both ask.

"You'll have to find out."

Someone opens the gate and dad carefully walks in. "Stay there first. You can come in soon." Dad explains.

Soon, four really young velociraptors come running out from the Forrest chasing a pig that went into a cage.

They had to be maybe four or five months old. They were small. They were about a foot or so above my dads ankle. I'm surprised they can run so fast already.

Dad began pointing them out. "There's Blue, Delta, Echo, and Charlie."

I knew that they were all girls because all the dinosaurs are female.
