After the whole unicorn debacle Ridley was so much more mindful about what other people were feeling.
Whenever you feel overwhelmed she holds your hand tight to offer you some comfort.
Ridley cries in private When the weight of what happened with the unicorns, her dad, her mom hits... the first time you caught her crying she tried to hide it, but eventually let it all out.
After that, Ridley calls you to get it all off of her shoulders. Sometimes she just keeps the call open without saying anything. Sometimes she just needs your presence.
The way Ridley shows her love is subtle, but extremely powerful. She keeps your favorite snack on her at all times, makes you lunch, and leaves a note on it with a sarcastic comment that always says something like "Don't die. P.S: love you." Or she lets you use her headphones on a long car ride.
Ridley doesn't call you "Babe" or "Love" often... she prefers calling you "Nerd"
Ridley never says I love you directly. She says it on notes or in text. Usually not to your face.
Your first kiss happened in Ridley's bedroom sitting across from you while holding a flashlight in between you like a pair of kids at a sleepover.
You say "you know you don't have to be tough all the time..."
Ridley doesn't know how to reply... she can't say thank you... not in words anyway. So instead, she leaned in and kissed you.
Once she pulled away Ridley whispered "that was okay... right?"
