Chapter 7 - First Date?

Tori had her room in a mess trying to find a cute, cool outfit for tonight.

She finally decided what to wear.

She wore a cute turquoise skirt, a white crop top and a pair of black and white Samoas.

She stood outside her house waiting on Chris.

She burst with joy when she saw the car pull up.

"Hey, hop in." He smiled.

They got to the beach and it was decorated with lights and tents.

The sizzling smell of burgers and hot dogs grilling made the two of them hungry.

"Let's go and hold a spot." He said, reaching out for her hand.

Tori blushed profusely and took his hand.

They walked along the beach holding hands looking for an available spot.

"Here's one." He pointed.

Tori and Chris sat and talked for a while.

"Are you hungry?"

"Yeah."

"Umm.. Do you want a hot dog or burger?"

"Burger, thanks." She said.

"Do you want anything specific on it?"

"Just ketchup, mustard, relish and Parmesan cheese."

"Cool, back in a beat."

When he returned with the food, they ate and caught up on old times.

After,they roasted marshmallows over the fire for a while.

The two went to the car, and spoke and laughed endlessly.

The time flew and it was soon 10:30.

"So what are we?" He asked shyly.

"I don't know, what do you want us to be?"

"Whatever you are ready for. A couple?"

"Umm.. I don't know. I like you but don't you think things are going too fast? I'm sorry but I'm not ready. Can you please take me home?"

"My bad, I thought you weren't like other girls, I thought you were different." He said in a sad, disappointed voice.

Chris and Tori got into the car and drove away.

The entire ride, Tori thought about what had just happened.

She just wanted to enjoy the night and she didn't like fast relationships that you just jump and make decisions.

The same way Chris didn't think she was like other girls that turn you down she didn't think that he was one of those play boys that just want a girl for her looks.

He never even new her name in high school.

Tori sat on her bed and thought long and hard about her evening.

"Why do all the cute boys have to be so stupid."

Tori flopped down on her bed and cried herself to sleep.
