Collin's POV (the dinner)
_______________[unedited]__________
HOW Y'ALL DOIN?!?

The dinner was going so well. Carrie got along well with the family and especially..Gavin.

"Collin? Did you hear me?" My dad's low voice snapped me back. I turned my head to him and nodded.

"So you agree to take the title?" He asked calmly.

I widened my eyes? "No!" I whispered-yelled. I can't take the title. I can't.

An amused smirk played on his lips, "I knew you weren't listening. I was telling you about the vampires that i asume came from the Vraxors clan, kidnapped the innocent human girls. It must have something to do with the rumors about Trivor planning something nasty now." He explained still in a low voice so mom and Carrie won't hear it.

I only nod with my jaw clenched. I kept pushing Trivor out of my mind because it was no use to think about such a bad thought in a good night. I looked to Carrie who was looking down at her phone under the table,i knew because the white light flashed the tip of her nose and she huffed quietly. I kept staring at her and when a strand of her hair fell from her shoulder to her front ,her face looking up and smiled at my mom making small topics and talking to..Gavin.

Was it normal to love someone this much?

We all finished the dinner and walked to the living room. My mom being the one who wanted to give a good first impression said that she offered to wash the dishes. Carrie being the nice beloved she was, helped her. When they were out of sight. Someone punched me on the arm and i groaned rubbing it.

"What the fuck Connor?" I spat and dad chuckled as he lifted up his 90's newspaper. "Flashbacking" the good ol' days he said.

"Just proud that my lil bro found his beloved." He said with a cheeky smile.

"I've imagined the scenario tho. You'll come in with her trough that door and i'll be the first to greet you and act all gentleman-y to her and say that i'm proud you found her and blabla..but things didn't go well.." He trailed off and shot me an apologetical look.

I gave him a small smile and it grew bigger when i remembered Carrie punched him.

Gavin let out a big laugh and turned on the tv to watch Disney Channel. Hard to believe he was 116 years old.

"She punched you good Connie." Gavin said and Connor grumbled under his breath.

"Yeaa she punched you good Connie!" Rosie's small voice mimicked Gavin's with a giggle and Gavin high-fived her.

"Stop giving her bad influence. And it's Connor for you both." He said sternly.

"Shut up Connie." Dad said and he put down his newspaper. They started to argue and all and i decided i wanted to hug my beloved so i walked to the kitchen.

"Oooh! What did you do next? Leap to his arms and shower him with kisses?" Mom's voice gushed from inside. I heard her clear her throath and i smirked.

"I-I shot him." She stuttered. I smiled remembering the day we first met. How happy i am and how confused she was.

"Good story to tell your kids someday honey."

Stop mom.

Carrie didn't answer and i knew she didn't know how to respond to that.

"Don't be afraid, you'll be a good one. Not now ofcourse, anytime if you're ready. But i'm glad he finally found his beloved.."

I shifted on my spot when she said that. I knew she was reffering to Valencia.

"Oh did he tell you about Valencia?" She asked.
