"Stop it with Luke! Why do you keep bringing him up?" I burst.

"Because you and I both know there's a connection, and I know you won't be able to get away from him as soon as you see him at school on Monday." she replies.

"...Why?" I ask, squinting my eyes. She's up to something.

"Because I invited his friend John to sit with us at lunch on Monday, and told him to bring Luke along!" she exclaims, jumping and clapping with a giant smile on her face. "It's a double date!"

My eyes go wide as I walk into the living room to finally eat. "You didn't!"

"I did." Mariah smirks.

"Wait... who's John?" I ask.

"You know, tall, hot bod, read hair, freckles... I talk about him all the time, remember?"

"Oh yeah. The skyscraper. You talk about 5 different guys, Mariah!"

"The hot skyscraper." Mariah corrects while biting her lip.

It's been forever since we've had a break. We've hit 6:30pm. I run up to my room to get my laptop. When I get back down to the living room, I plug it in so it doesn't die on me.

"What 'cha doin'?" Mariah elbows in.

"You know my OCD." I say plainly.

"OH, yeah, OCD. She teases. " You're just obsessed with facebook."

"No, I just like to keep up with my notifications. I can't stand having a bunch. I physically itches."

"Okay, you had a chance to make that sound normal, but you just made it way worse." She laughs, piking up the phone. "Let's get some pizza."

"Okay, sounds good."

We converse and slightly argue on what toppings to get, and after ten minutes of a fight that had the tension of a political debate, we decided on bacon, hawaiian and meatlovers. We then turned on the TV to the music video channel and danced and sang (horribly) to pop songs for about half an hour.

Later, we heard the doorbell ring. Pizza!!! ((like hells yah pizza's here I would jump over a thousand couches to get to that door in Olympian timing and then eat as much hella good pizza as I can to regain the calories burnt from the couch hurdling))

I hustled to the door with the money that Mariah and I were using to purchase the pizza, and I swung the door open.

I expected our usual delivery man, our good friend Michael, a pizza enthusiast. We always lend him a few slices as a tip. We once even ordered a whole extra-large pizza just for him for his birthday two months ago. ((MHMMM so this is in January so that actually is true since is bday is in November)) He ate the whole thing in front of us just chilling on my couch. Once he ended up staying really late and got buzzed off of some of my mom's beer and ended up making out with one of my teddy bears from my childhood.

"Mariah! Mikey's here with the food from the gods abov – oh, you're not Mikey..." I stop and stare at the guy holding our pizza. He stares back at me.

"Mikey!!" Mariah yells as she slides through the hall with her socks, slamming into the door frame next to me. She was about to jump out into the snow covered porch to hug him, but then she noticed that it wasn't Michael.
