Prologue- Their past

                                                                    (In the Hokage's office)

     "As this is only a D rank mission I suppose it's safe for you to bring Amaya with you. I understand that she is too young to be left behind." The Third Hokage says.

"Thank you Lord Third." The blonde woman in the room says. Next to her stood her four year old daughter, a grey haired man who was her husband, and a close family friend who was on their squad.

"Of course. Now, Naiomi, Kakashi, and Nata, your mission will be to the hidden sand village. You will be protecting a young boy named Gaara. His father is the Kazekage so it's very important that you complete this mission successfully."

"Hai!" Naiomi, Kakashi, and Nata say in unison.

                         (Time skip to the hidden sand village. Brought to you by Shukaku.)

          "Awww, he's so cute!" Nata and Naiomi say together.

"We are here to protect him not fawn over him." Kakashi says holding his daughter, Amaya.

Naiomi, his wife, shrugs. "That's close enough isn't it?" Naiomi glances down at the red haired four year old boy. He was rubbing his eyes tiredly trying to stay awake. "Aw, he's tired." Naiomi says smiling. She picks him up and starts to rock him back and fourth gently. Gaara's eyes begin to droop even more. His eyes finally close and Naiomi smiles. Then hell was unleashed. Sand seemed to be appearing out of nowhere. Suddenly Gaara starts twitching violently, like he is having a nightmare.

Worried, Kakashi put Amaya down and rushed over to his wife. Before he is able to reach her the sand pierces her from the front making it all the way through her body, coming out her back. Naiomi coughs, blood trickling from her mouth. Amaya runs to her bleeding mother as Kakashi leans her up.

"Mommy!" Amaya yells coming steps away from her mother before the same sand that had just pierced her mother whips across her back breaking skin, sending her flying into her mother who is being sat up by her dad.

"Amaya!" Kakashi yells watching his baby girl fall into her mother, blood everywhere. Nata comes running over and tries to get Naiomi's bleeding to stop. Naiomi manages to grab the clip from her hair and place it Amaya's with what little strength she had left, and then both Naiomi and Amaya pass out.

When Nata realizes that Naiomi is no longer alive she picks Amaya  up off her mother. She starts using her medical Nin-jutsu on Amaya to close the gaping wound on her back that stretched from her right shoulder all the way down to her left hip. Kakashi looks over as the sand starts to dissipate to see little Gaara curled in a ball crying in a corner scared of himself, and his first kill.

           Kakashi watches Amaya exploring the room that they sat waiting in. Kakashi remembers the leader of the Anbu had said something about a bomb threat. The leader of the Anbu comes in hiding his face in his hand. "What happened?" Kakashi asks.

Amaya stops what she is doing and looks up at the two ninja talking. "A bomb threat." The Anbu answers.

"From who?" Kakashi asks concerned.

The Anbu sighs "My daughter."

"You have a daughter?!" Amaya asks excited. The Anbu looks at her and nods. "How old is she?" Amaya asks.

".....5" the Anbu says face palming.

Kakashi looks at him surprised. "She's 5 and she's threatening to blow up the village?"
