Chapter - 7(Maa-Ni Secret)

Manik's farmhouse :
Nandini was sitting on the swing making mishti
sleep..while manik was standing in the
corner..watching her..kids were sleepy..so nandini took
them inside and made them all sleep in a room..
She came out..while manik was still in the garden
area..standing in a corner..watching stars..she start
walking towards him..he was standing back facing
her...
She came towards him...she was standing behind
him..she was very hesitant to put hand on his
shoulder..
Manik : "you can put your hand on my shoulder.."...he
said still facing his back to her..she look towards him
with a shocking expression as how he sensed her
presence..
He turned around to see her..
Manik : "ab yeh mat puchna ki mujhe kese pata chala ki
tum yahan ho.."...he said looking towards her ..while
she was staring at him..
Manik : "mai tumhe dil se samjhta hoon
..nandini..."...he said looking in her eyes..and her eyes
welled up with tears..with this statement...she instantly
looked down..and both of them start remembering their
past..
(PAST- 3 YEARS BACK) :
Manik was very upset due to nyonika's behavior
towards him..he was standing on the terrace looking
towards the moon...
Nandini came from his back.,.and put her hand on his
shoulder..
Manik : "mujhe kisi se baat nahi karni..go away..."...he
jerked her hand down from his shoulder..still facing
back to her..with the sudden jerk..her hand clashed
with the railing and her hands got hurt with the hook on
it...
Nandini : "ouchh.."..she yelled with pain..he instantly
turned around..and saw her hand full of blood..he really
got scared..
Manik : "nandini ..am ..am..really sorry..i..i didn't
meant do..."...he took her hand in his while saying
all...
Nandini : "shhh..it's ok..theek hai...kuch nahi hua..just
calm down..."...she said making him look towards
her...
Manik : "kese calm down..look at your hand..kitna
blood nikal raha hai..you wait here..i'll be right
back.."...with this he moved out..to fetch a first aid
box...in fraction of seconds he was back..he made her
sit on the chair and sat down beside her..placed the
first aid box on the table..and dipped antiseptic in a
cotton to apply on her wounds...
He was blowing air on her hand ..in order to suppress
the burning sensation causing due to antiseptic..
While he was busy in bandaging her wounded
hands..she was busy in admiring his face..with a
charming smile on her face..
Nandini : "manik..you can't see me in pain na?.."...she
asked him looking at him while he was blowing air on
her wounds..
Manik : "yes..i can't.."..he said straight
forwardly...without looking at her...and smiled
broadly..she held his face with her other hand and
made his face ..raise a little..
Nandini : "then how can i see you
hurt..manik..problems sabki life mei hoti hai..but by
your anger..you can't clear it..in fact it will be get
worsen than ever..."...she said looking in her eyes..and
he stood up..
Manik : "tumne dekha na use..how she talked..like am
some blank check for her..am her son..god damn
it..not any business deal.."...he retorted back with full
anger..she also stood up and made him face her by
holding his shoulders..
Nandini : "yes...you are her son...but manik...if she
don't consider you as your son..then you are also not
less..tumne bhi toh unhe kitna sunaya..and that
too..infront of all employees..Manik..gussa koi
solution nahi hota..plz..calm down..aur wese
bhi..nobody can even dare to mess with a furious
manik malhotra..so forget all..she won't come..and
also..she won't send anyone..to make you sign that
deal..."...she said holding a smile..and with her one
smile ..his anger ran out of window..and he also hold a
beautiful smile..
Manik : "how you manage to calm me down.."...he said
holding her wounded hand..
Nandini : "mai tumhe dil se samjhti
hoon..manik.."...she smiled..and he also smiled...she
hugged him tight and he also responded with equal
fervor..
(END OF PAST)
Nandini was standing in front of him..looking
downwards...a lone tear fell down from her eyes..and
fell directly on the ground..he saw this..he forwarded
his hand to touch her..but she moved backward..and
turned around...
Nandini : "am going back home.."...she informed him
holding a stern tune..and start walking away from
him..the every step she took away from him..he feels
like..his soul leaving his body..his heart and stopped
beating..he was watching her going away..he wanted
to stop her..he wanted to hold her..in his arms..he
wanted to never let her go..he wanted to hug her till
eternity..but he just can't..he can't even touch
her..because he felt his touch on her..will make her
impure..and he can't commit that sin once again...
Nandini was moving away from him..and just then
mishti came downstairs and hold nandini's kurti's end
from her back..and she instantly stopped..and turned
around..she found mishti there...she knelt down on her
knees...and hold her by her shoulder..
Nandini : "kya hua ..baby..aap uth kyu gayye..."...she
asked her ...
Mishti : "aap kaha jaa rahe ho..mujhe dar lag raha hai
didu..."...she told her..She instantly picked mishti in her
arms..and stood up..
Nandini : "mai apni mishti ko chorke kaha jaungi.."..she
told and kissed her tiny small hands..MIshti wrapped
her hands around her and hugged her tight...
All this was witnessed by manik..and he thanked god
instantly that he sent mishti as an angel to hold nandini
back..atleast for some more time in front of his eyes...
Manik : "can i help?.."...he came forward to them and
asked..Mishti instantly looked towards him...
Mishti : "aap..woh he ho na..that KID .. "...this mere
word KID ..made him stunned ..he instantly looked
towards nandini..who looked down..
Manik : "shayad.."...he said with a smile still looking at
nandini...who was looking down..
Manik (self-thought) : "once while arguing with
nyonika..she said to me..why am behaving like a
KID...that day too..this word brought a smile on my
face..and today also..but..i wonder..mishti ko kese
pata..please meri taraf dekho nandini..aur keh do... you
still consider me as your kid... "...he thought all this while
looking at her...
Mishti : "aap mere liye sing karoge..plz..."...she asked
nandini innocently...
Nandini : "of course princess.."...she said and kissed
her cheeks..she clapped in joy..Manik looked at her..
Trio walked in garden area..nandini made mishti sit on
the swing..Manik was standing in a side..
Teri khushboo aur teri saansein
Katra katra sab bhulayengi
Silvatein jo tumne chhodi hain
Dheere dheere sab mitayenge
(she start singing ..looking at mishti..she was sitting
beside mishti..her head was on nandini's lap..and
nandini was running her fingers in her hair...her voice
send shivers to his whole body...)

Aankh nam hoti hai hone do
Honth lekin muskurayenge
Uski raaton se subah apni
Rafta rafta kheench laayenge
(she sang while he comes towards them..he sit on her
knees..near nandini's leg..and gave a smile to
mishti..and closed her eyes with his hands..and looked
towards nandini...she instantly folded her legs
backward..so it don't touch with manik..he was looking
at her..but she wasn't looking at him..Her eyes were
teary but still she smiled..)

(Now..for the first time..her eyes met his..she was
looking at him...with so many complains in her
eyes..so much pain..once again..she opened the door
of her eyes..and manik was more hurt to see such

(she was looking in his eyes..while he tried eye contact
with her..but his eyes ditched him..he don't even
know..when all of a sudden his eyes start looking
downwards...she gave a sarcastic smile..and hold
mishti in her arms and walked inside while singing..he
was still sitting there..not able to make out..what
should he do next..)

slept...she made her sleep on the couch of the leaving
area and put a blanket on her..she start looking

eyes..he came inside and saw her sitting beside
mishti..)

(she was singing..her eyes were teary..she was trying
her best to hold them ..but how long she can hide
them..her heart was crying from last 3 years..but she
didn't even let a single word escape from her
mouth..but today ..all her strength was betraying
her..she was on the verge of breakdown..but she was
holding back..but how?...)
She ended the song..and her eyes fell on him..he was
looking at her..she looked at her...this time there was
accusation in her eyes..and he can sense it..she turned
around to leave..
Manik : "mat jao nandini.."...yes..finally he said
it..keeping all rational thoughts aside..he said it..but
she didn't paid any heed ..and was walking away from
him..he doesn't understand..what he should do..to stop
her..unknowingly a WORD escaped from his
mouth..and that mere word made her stop ..right
there..right when she heard that word from his mouth
after 3 years..
Manik : "maa"... he said..he himself doesn't know..when
did he said it..she turned around instantly and looked at
him..and he saw her..and realized what he said..
Nandini : "kya kaha tumne?.."..she asked him..coming
close to him..
Manik : "maa.."...he repeated his word..she just gave a
sarcastic smile and again turned around ..
Manik : "won't you shout on me..maine tume maa
bola.."..he said ..and she again stopped..
Nandini : "nahi..i won't shout..because this word used
to affect 3 years old nandini..but today..i..nandini
moorthy..don't feel anything..."...she said facing her
back to him...
Manik : "please maa..."..but he got cut in between by
her sudden laugh...and she turned her face to him..
Nandini : "jise ..tum baar baar maa bula rahe ho..mai
wo nandini nahi hoon ..wo nandini mar chuki hai..she
died the day..you left her..she died the day..you killed
her soul..she died the day..you left her suffering in
hell.. she is dead..mar chuki hai woh.. ."...she said with
a angry face..for first time she was showing some
emotions this time..and her words hurt him alot..but he
felt relieved..as atleast she is letting her heart out..may
be by this..her pain can reduce a little..and to ease her
pain..he can bear anything..even her hatred..
Nandini : "wo nandini...use fark padta tha..she used to
beat you for calling her maa..but i..i don't care ..mujhe
koi fark nahi padta MANIK MALHOTRA.."...she said in
a cold voice..she turned and left out..a smile appeared
on his face..
Manik : "thank you nandini..for calling my name..i was
dying to listen my name from you..."...he said with a
smile but tears fell down from his eyes as he saw her
leaving out of house...
He came towards bar counter..and start drinking a
lot..her words were echoing in his ears.. she is
dead..you killed her..you left her...i don't care..jise
tum maa bolte the..wo mar chuki hai...
Manik : his eyes were blood shoot red "mene apne
studio ka naam maa-ni ...isliye rakha tha..taaki tum na
sahi..yeh naam MAA..aur tumhara last word NI..mere
sath rahe.. mai tumhe pareshan karne ke liye maa bolta
tha..but mujhe pata bhi nahi chala..kab kaha..yeh
naam ..aur tum..meri zindagi ban gaye..."...he said
while looking at her pic in his wallet and kissed her...
Manik : "itni raat ko..tum akele bahar..oh freak.."...he
suddenly freaked out..and grabbed his car keys and left
out the farmhouse..to look for nandini..
He saw nandini on the road ...she was crying badly..he
parked his car ..and ran after her...
Manik : "nandini wait.."...he came towards her and
made her face him..she can smell alcohol from his
mouth...she without any rational thought slapped him
hard..and he saw her with shocking expression..while
she was looking at him angrily..he was hell
shocked..his one hand was on his cheeks..and she was
glaring at him...
