Chapter - 19 (Yearning for love)

Auditorium (Present) :
Nandini after hearing the announcement for all staff members..came inside the auditorium..and there she witnessed..Manik..sitting on the front chair placed on stage..dhruv was sitting in his right side..and many famous composers were also present there..princi was standing near the mike..and making some announcement..
Nandini : "yahan ho kya raha hai?.."..she thought..while coming inside..manik saw her walking inside..he was looking at her with love in his eyes..and she was trying her best to not look at him..
Manik : "nandini.."..he said her name in his heart..and just then ..she looked at him..as if she heard him..he smiled looking at her..but she ignored and sat down on the chair..placed in front of stage..
Princi : "so ..aaj humari space academy ke liye bahut badha din hai..official announcement ke liye..i would like to call Manik Malhotra on stage.."...he said with a broad smile..
Manik stood up..and walked towards the mike..although he didn't show the pain he was having while walking..but there was one person in the room..who felt that pain..and of course it's NANDINI..
Manik : "it's a big day not only for SPACE..but for all of us..as today we are here to announce our upcoming album.. ANKAHI.. we are in search for a female voice..a voice which will touch our heart..so composers ne decide kiya hai..ki wo voice SPACE ACADEMY mei se he hogi.."...he announced and every one clapped..
Nandini : "what are you upto?.."..she thought with a doubt..he looked at her and he knows..what she is thinking..
Manik : "i know..tum doubt karhi ho..but this is the only way left.."..he also thought looking at her..
Manik : "so gear up..we will conduct the auditions..after one hour..and selected candidates will be compete for next level.."..he announced and was about to move..when everyone start requesting him..to sing a song..
Just then nandini got a call..she stood up..and start leaving the audi..to attend the call..as there was loads of noise..
When he observed her leaving..he couldn't hold himself back..and he start singing..
Waha le aayi..koi khata..
jahan se manjil ka na pata..
wahi fir leke chalo..mujhko..
jahan se bhule the rasta..
(just when he start singing..she stopped in mid..his voice was depicting the pain of his heart..and his eyes were showing..how much he is craving for her..she turned around ..and found him staring at her..she looked at him..with the equal crave in her eyes..)
Waha le aayi..koi khata..
jahan se manjil ka na pata..
wahi fir leke chalo..mujhko..
jahan se bhule the rasta..
(he start coming down from stage..towards her..and she froze on her spot..she was looking at him blankly while he was coming towards her..his words were enough to make her loose..her heart was shouting to hug him..but no!..she just can't...)
Jab koi baat bigad jaaye..
jab koi mushkil pad jaye..

(he came towards her..hold her hand and kissed on her knuckles...she let it be..she didn't struggle..may be because she is tired..tired of pretending..that she don't care..but there was thousands of questions in her heart..what if..it's all a drama?..what if he is again playing around?..)
Just when he completed the song..she came out of her thoughts..and found that ..he was still on the stage but was still looking at her ..that means it was only her dream..she saw a dream..with OPEN EYES..
She looked at him..whereas his eyes were stick only to her..both of them looking at each other..while all this was noticed by one person..and that was CABIR..who came to Space...to meet nandini..and after listening Manik's voice..he came directly into auditorium..he was standing on the door,..and found MaNan looking at each other..
Cabir : "kyu manik?..kyu?..why you created this gap between you two?"...he thought totally helpless..
He then entered inside and placed his hand on nandini's shoulder..seh instantly turned around and found cabir..
Nandini : "cabir tum yahan?.."..she said in surprising manner..
Cabir : "meri angel ke paas time he nahi..toh socha..kyu na..mai thoda sa time chura loon.."..he said after holding her hand..and she smiled broadly..
Manik saw all this..still standing on the stage..
Manik : "you are a true friend cabir..maine toh kab ka woh hath chor diya tha..but you are still holding it..thank you cabir.."...he said to himself in his thoughts..his eyes were teary..but he wipe them off..dhruv came towards him...and placed his hand on his shoulder..while manik gave a weak smile to him..
Dhruv : "don't act..you are a very bad actor.."..he instantly commented..on which manik chuckled sarcastically..
Cabir : "so angel..can i have a coffee with you please..and sach kahu bahut bhook lagi hai.."...he said making a baby face..on which nandini lightly slapped on his cheeks and took him with her...
After some time..all left auditorium..leaving only manik and dhruv..and some guards outside the auditorium..
Dhruv : "manik..wait..mai tumhari medicines leke aata hoon.."...on which nodded his head in approval..so dhruv left ...
Manik was sitting on the chair..and start tuning his guitar..

(he sang..wholeheartedly..keeping the pic of nandini on the table..he smiled looking at her smiling face..her smile is so peaceful..but now it's not there..he thought..he has everything now..stardom..fame..but still everything is incomplete..as she is not there with him..he is oblivious that the sound system is still on..and his voice is echoing in whole space academy..it reached to nandini as well)
Nandini who was in canteen with cabir..was about to sip the coffee..when suddenly she heard HIS VOICE..which has only pain..and it directly pricked in her heart..Cabir looked at her..she was totally lost..he placed his hand on hers..she gave a weak smile to him..although she was silent..but he can listen her silence as well...

(while he was singing ..sitting in the auditorium..his eyes were closed..he recalled all the sleepless nights ..he spent without her..how her silent exit from his life..made him suffer..left loads of questions in his heart..suddenly he felt a warm touch on his cheeks..he opened his eyes..and found HER..who was sitting beside him..and has kissed his cheeks..he looked at her with love..while she was smiling broadly..just when he forwarded his hand to touch her..she vanished away..and he became shocked..but then he smiled on his fate..that.. THE GIRL WHO WAS HIS REALITY...IS NOW HIS ONLY AND LAST DREAM...WHICH MAY NEVER MEET REALITY.. )
Nandini who was trying hard to concentrate on her coffee..was really having tough time..because of his voice..she can't deny the fact..that he is actually suffering without her..but she is scaring..what if..he is again planning to ditch her?.. woh kehte hai na..agar ek baar trust break hota hai..toh it can never be gain back.. Cabir was noticing her state..but unfortunately..he can't do anything..and this feeling is making him..suffer..

(Manik was singing with galore love..pain and passion in his voice..Nandini couldn't hold more..she stood up..and ran away from the canteen..cabir tried to stop her..but she ran away..)
Cabir came inside the auditorium..where manik was tuning his guitar..Manik saw him in utmost shock and surprise..
Manik : "cabir.."...he said looking at him..Cabir start walking towards him..Manik tried to stand up..he was about to fall..due to his burnt feet..but before he fall back..cabir hold him back..and manik looked at him...
He with great difficulty made Manik sat down on the chair and placed his leg back on the table..now he saw the bruises..how badly his feet is burnt..
Cabir : "yeh kese hua?.."..he asked sternly although he very well knew the answer..still wanted to hear from him..
Manik : "woh..by mistake..i placed my leg on burning coal.."...he lied looking here and there..
Cabir : "mujhe yeh toh pata tha..ki tu bahut acha actor hai..but yeh shayad tujhe nahi pata..ki tu aaj bhi mujhse jhooth nahi bol pata.."..his words made manik look at him...
Manik : "cabir..mai..woh.."..he tried to explain something ..but cabir showed him his palm and said..
Cabir : "no need of explanation..mai bas yahan aaya hoon..kyunki mai janta hoon..she still LOVES you..and may be..you also.."...he said last line you also.. with a little surety..while Manik look at him..in surprise..
Manik : "cabir mai..."..he was again cut off by cabir..
Cabir : "meri baat puri nahi hui hai..let me complete first.."...he said sternly..then continued .."humne use kho diya hai manik..she is no longer that chirpy..bubbly nandini..she is lost somewhere..and reasons best known to you.."...he last line with a little anger..while manik felt guilty..
Cabir : "par mai yeh bhi janta hoon..agar use koi wapas laa sakta hai..then it's only you.."...manik looked at him in utmost surprise..."yes! you heard me right..USE WAPAS LE AA MANIK..humari angel ko wapas le aa..use uske paas wapas le aa.."...he said in a pleading tone...
Manik stood up with great difficulty..and hugged Cabir tightly...after 3 long years..today they both hugged each other..both felt the same bond which they used to share 3 years ago...
Manik : "i promise cabir..mai use wapas lekar aaunga..kese?..mujhe nahi pata..but mai use wapas jarur launga..use aana he hoga.."...he said with determination..and cabir tighten the hug even more..as he knows..manik isn't lying this time...
Manik : "chahe fir mujhe khudko he barbaad kyu na karna pare.."...his words depict the level of determination inside him..
Cabir broke the hug and next what he said..gave immense happiness to manik .."Mujhe esa kyu lag raha hai..ki mera manik..my childhood friend is back..."...he said with a smile..
Manik : "because..I AM BACK.."..he said with a broad smile.."ab sirf use wapas laana hai.."...he said looking in left side..just then cabir got a call..so he left to receive it..but not before hugging manik again..although he can't forgive manik that easily..but today he received HOPE that..manik is true this time...he can trust manik again..
Staircase :
Nandini was sitting on the stairs..holding that key chain in her hand..
Nandini : "chale jao manik..please chale jao..."..she said while tears were rolling down from her eyes..
No matter how strong she pretends to be in front of all..but the truth is..she is badly in need of HIM..yes! she needs him..more than he do..he shattered her in pieces...and only he can collect her back...
Once we love someone..we can't undo that..we just can't..we only keep loving them..no matter what..we can never deny the fact..that we still love them..it's just..we stop showing our love for them..we start behaving that nothing matters to us..but it's not true..we are actually not lying to them..we are actually lying to our self...after all we all are human beings...we want someone..at some point of our lives..
Even when there is no need..there is want..Want is always there... Jarurat khatam ho sakti hai..lekin chahat nahi... but we never accept this fact..and there is two reasons behind it..one is OUR EGO..and second is OUR FEAR...
She was sitting on the stairs and looking at the bracelet..she slowly kissed it and said ..
Nandini : "you promised me..that you will never let me fall..then why you pushed me off the cliff.."..she said wiping some tears from her face..and start reminiscing a past moment.
