Chapter 6

Devon's POV

"Dev why don't you and Sam head home and help with that thing.." Zack said I sighed.
"No! Zack we have to stay here and make sure Jace and Rylan know where to go!" Sam said. I knew it was because she wanted to go over what we had found rather than help with the welcome to the pack party. "Besides Sex at school is highly frowned upon Zack." I added and watched Ms. Greene turn red.
"Sam I am sure Levi can show them around just fine."
"Zack you just don't want us to go around pranking the school." I accused folding my arms around my chest.
"True but the Alpha wants you home to help." Layla, Jace and Rylan all looked confused, I knew I wasnt winning this case with Zack.
"Fine, But Layla if any other girls come onto Rylan Kick their ass for me." I looked at Sam, "Or Jace." I quickly added. Layla nodded her head. She had always been a good fighter but would not fight without a good reason. The girl could really kick some ass when needed. Zack dismissed us and Sam and I headed towards the parking lot I gave Rylan a quick kiss. "So I guess now is as good of a time as any to start talking about what we found last night." Sam said in a worried tone. Putting the keys in the ignition I looked to Sam. "When do you want to tell our parents?" I put on godsmack and Sam waited for me to turn it down so it was background noise. "I still think we should wait til after Jax's trial. I want to try and handle this on my own." I nodded in agreement. "Who do you think is the choice mate?" I asked and then remembered what I had said this morning. "Sam we are telling my dad tonight." Sam's wide eyes found my face. "No. we have to figure this out ourselves!" I gave her a stern look. "Please Dev I have to do this myself well with your help of course. Please we cant tell your dad just yet." I looked at her. "Eyes on the road Dev." Sam reminded me turning my eyes back to the road I answered my friend. "Fine we have until the day after Jax's trial if we dont figure this out by then we are telling my dad." I admit I used some of my alphaness to make her know what was up and that i was not backing down on this. is alphaness even a word? "Sure, sure." Sam replied slightly relieved. "Unless your choice mate makes himself known before then." I amended and she sighed but nodded in agreement. "I'm nervous about this Dev, could I really be the next in line to have two mates?" I looked at her and took a back road so we could just drive. "Sam I think the possibility is a high one. Oh I know I can get Levi to get a copy of the pack family tree thing. Then we would know for sure." Sam thought about it and beamed. "True that is a good idea. Hey what if Jace is my choice mate?" I contomplated this already. "I highly doubt it, because when I read that passage to you last night well this morning really, it said that each woman found her true mate first." Sam smiled a sad smile. "This is so confusing! I really like Jace too and if I choose him which I think I will we will totally be sisters some day for real." I smile that she was right about. "Are we done talking about this for now or not cause if we are we should totally go help set up the party. My dad said that he is going to acknowledge that Levi is close to becoming the Alpha and that Levi will also announce who will be his Beta. By the way what did you find in Jax's room?" She looked at me shocked and then relieved again. "Well he was really planning on being Beta and he had a whole list of people he was going to frame to get them kicked out of the pack. - more treason. I plan on looking through his room some more today." I looked at her. "Eyes on the road Dev." I swear that was one of the lines she used the most. "That we are telling my dad as soon as we step in the door. That can not wait because Jax can start planning even further while he is in his tiny jail cell. lets go." I punched the accelerator and tossed my phone to her. "Call my dad and put him on speaker." I wasnt even trying to cover the Alpha tone of my voice I was seriously pissed. "Devon shouldnt you be in class?" Came my dads voice. "No, Zack told me and Sam to come home we will be there soon." I was pissed my words were coming so fast they where slurred and I was trembling if i didnt get myself under control i would phase. "Devon your talking fast and I can here your car is fast are you about to phase?" My dads voice had the alpha tone "Calm down Dev focus on getting you and Sam home safely then we will talk." The line went dead and so did my trembling cant ignore an Alpha's orders. "I am still seriously pissed, Sam say something to get my mind off of it." Sam looked at me smiling. "Well you know how Zack can totally pull some strings?" I nodded. "Well have your dad give him an order to let us graduate this year." Sam sounded so smug. "Why would either of them do that?" I asked confused. "Well you and I love the history of werewolves why not tell your dad that we need to start a werewolf history and training class for the pups." I smiled at her. "That is an epic idea." I said looking at her still. "Dev eyes on the road. I swear that is the thing I say the most to you on a daily basis. How have you not managed to wrap us around a tree by now?" I focused back on the road as I turned onto the drive. "Thats a good question. I wish I had the answer to." I laughed at the end but it still came out forced.
