A/N Hey everyone! So, an early update! (By about two hours, it's about 10:30 PM where I am now) I wrote this one all through the extra time I had during the state test, so this one is pretty well thought out in my opinion. I hope you all like it! Enjoy!

Ana’s POV

Our day at the mall had been quite entertaining and fun. The boys actually did end up taking pictures next to their larger-than –life posters on the wall of the 1D store. Harry decided to have a little bit of fun and did the cupcake pose next to his picture. I couldn’t help but giggle as I took the picture, and the girls also laughed along. Some other fans who were inside the store laughed a bit at Harry, but they didn’t figure out that it was actually him, or any of the other boys.

Later on, we met up with Simone and Josh. We rode a few rides at Nickelodeon Universe as well, including the Ferris Wheel and the Fairly Odd Coaster. Knowing Harry had a fear of rollercoasters, I didn’t force him to ride it, but he chose to ride it anyway. He ended up screaming and holding onto my hand tightly, which I didn’t mind at all. The second part, I mean.

After that adventure, we had lunch at Johnny Rocket’s and got dessert at Cupcake, which was obviously a cupcake for each of us. All in all, we had a good day together. And, Simone taped the whole time that we were with her on the video camera! We now have that to remember it, even though I think I’ll remember all of this easily.

The next morning, when I woke up, I had a huge smile on my face. I had dreamed about yesterday the night before. I couldn’t help it. It had been so much fun!

I stretched out a bit and threw on my Captain America t-shirt and jeans, also putting on my slippers. I grabbed my notebook from my desk and ran down the stairs, sliding into the kitchen in my slippers. “Morning, Mom,” I greeted her, smiling. I grabbed a food scoop and filled it for my kitten, Shadow, before dumping it into the food bowl. Shadow ran at the food bowl and began eating as I turned to Mom.

“Good morning, Anastasia,” she responded.

I cringed at the use of my full name. “Mom, just call me Ana. Everyone does,” I reminded her.

“Anastasia is much more formal,” Mom chided. “Wouldn’t you prefer to be a more formal lawyer when you grow up?”

“That’s the problem,” I mumbled under my breath.

“What was that?” Mom asked me.

“Nothing, Mom, nothing at all. Where’s Dad?” I inquired, changing the subject.

“He’s sleeping. He took the night shift at the plant last night, so he’s really tired,” Mom said. “While you’re studying, don’t bother him, okay?”

I stared at her. “Wait, what?” I asked.

“You have to study. You’ve lost focus on your work this summer thanks to hanging out with the girls and with those boys-,” she began, but I cut her off.

“You mean my friends.”

“Yes, Anastasia, your friends are distracting you. You need to focus now. This fall you’re going to be a senior in high school, and then the year after that, you’re off to law school!” Mom sat down at the kitchen table while I did as well. “Sweetheart, all I want is what is best for you, and your friends are holding you back.”

I just stared at her. I knew I should still be studying, since I was planning on going to college after all. But that didn’t mean that I couldn’t hang out with my friends and boyfriend! That wasn’t fair at all! “No, they’re not. They’re all supportive of the fact that I know what I want to be. And that’s not being a lawyer,” I told her.
