"Brittany can you sing me your lullaby please?" Kaylie asks her. "I miss it."
"Okay, lay down. Do you think your brother wants to hear it too?"
"Kyle, Brittany is going to sing her lullaby come on." Kaylie yells.
"Okay climb up into the bed with your sister. And I will sing you the song." She waits while he climbs up into the bed with her. "Now both of you lay back and close your eyes. A little fairy comes at night, Her eyes are blue, her hair is brown, With silver spots upon her wings, And from the moon she flutters down. She has a little silver wand, And when a good child goes to sleep, She waves her hand from right to left, And makes a circle round its head. And then it dreams of pleasant things, Of fountains filled with fairy dust, And trees that bear delicious fruit, And bow their branches at a wish."
"Wow, they have never gone to sleep that easily for anyone before."
"They have always been perfect little angels for me. Now then how are we getting Kyle back to his bed, or is he allowed to sleep in here?"
"I will take him back to his room. Then I would like to speak with you."
"Okay." She says following him out of the room into the next. "Where would you like to talk?"
"How about we go to the kitchen and get something to eat and talk over dinner?"
"Okay. Lead the way." She tells him.
"I am going to stop in my room and change into something a bit more comfortable. If you would like to do the same you may do so."
"I am good in this thanks though. I'll wait out here for you." She says leaning against the wall.
"You sure you can come on in and wait while I change, it will only take me a second or two."
"Um yeah, I'm good out here." He stands there looking at her for a few minutes then shrugs his shoulders and goes into his room to change. As she is standing outside his room she realizes two things. The first is her room is right across the hall from his, and the second she has no pajamas. "Um, Mr. Wolfe this is going to sound bad, but do you have a shirt I can borrow to sleep in." She says to him through the door.
"What?" He replies. "Open the door and say that again."
She cracks the door open. "Um do you have a shirt or something I can sleep in? I can go out tomorrow and buy myself some pajamas, but I just don't have anything for tonight."
"Come on in and we will find you something." He says.
She opens the door and walks into his room. Her jaw drops to the floor, he is standing in front of her dressed in a pair of shorts only. "Oh, sorry."
"No need to be. Take a look at my shirts and choose one to sleep in." He says pointing to a drawer.
"Okay." She says and walks over and starts looking in the drawer he motioned towards. She finds one that she likes. "I'll borrow this one. I will have it washed first thing after I get up and get it back to you then, I promise." When he does not reply she turns to look for him, and jumps about a foot into the air.
"Sorry could not help it." He says when she jumps. "I need to grab a shirt to put on to eat otherwise the chef isn't going to let me into his kitchen. Now you I think he would allow in there no matter what you are wearing." He says to her.
"Okay. I'm just going to run this over to my room real fast. I will meet you in the hallway." She says a she starts towards the door.
"Brittany," Daniel says,
