Babysitting For A Demon

Chapter 7

"When is Uncle Daniel going to be home?" Kyle asked Brittany.
"He should be getting home soon. He had a late meeting or something. But he said to have you two ready to go when he got here."
"Are you coming too?"
"Not that I know."
"Oh but you must. I will not go if you don't."
"That is up to your uncle. But even if I don't go you have to." I tell the kids right before the door opens.
"You are not ready to go?"
"I thought you wanted to take the kids out. Give me a minute and I will go change." I tell him as I go up the stairs. I go into my room and find some dress clothes and change. I start to go out of my room but my phone starts to ring. "Hello."
"Brittany listen to me. You are not safe there. He is a demon, a werewolf. Come back here you can have your apartment back." I hang up the phone and turn it off.
I go down the stairs and walk up to Daniel and the kids. "Is everything okay?" He asks me.
"Yes, just, nothing." I say to him. "Where are we going?"
"We are going out to eat."
"Yay, Uncle Daniel can we go to our favorite place?"
"Whatever you kids want you got. Now then lets get a move on it. I am starving." He says as he leads the way out of the house to the car. He puts the kids in their car seats then he opens my door for me. I get into the car and he closes my door and gets in his door. I decide to check my Facebook while he drives so I turn my phone back on. It starts ringing immediately.
"Hello, I don't have time for this." I tell my old landlord as I hang up on him again.
"Who was that?"
"No one." I say. I open Facebook and start looking at my news feeds. My phone starts to ring again. "You want to answer it, I am done talking with him." I tell Daniel.
He holds his hand out for the phone. "Leave her alone. She does not want to talk to you. How do you think I have her phone." He looks at me for a minute, then he hangs the phone up.
"Turn it back off please." I tell him. He does what I say then hands me the phone. We arrive at the restaurant, and the kids get excited. Once we enter it is like we are in a whole different time.
"M'lords and m'ladies, if you will follow me I will show you to your seats."
"This is so neat." I say out loud, earning a laugh from Daniel and the kids. We get to a table and sit.
"The server will be right out with you." The guy that showed us to our seats says.
"Have you never been here before?" Daniel asks me. I just shake my head. "Boy are you in for a big surprise." He says to me.
"How may I serve you?" A lady asks.
"Cider for the kids, I will have a coke, and Brittany what do you want?"
"I will have a coke as well."
"Have you decided upon what you want to eat tonight?" She asks leaning over in front of Daniel.
"We will all take the house special tonight." He replies not even looking at her. She walks away in a huff.
I sit there looking around, and I notice men in knights armor walking around. I giggle at the sight. "Are you enjoying yourself?" I look at Daniel and nod my head.
"Here are your drinks, your food will be here shortly." The waitress says as she sits drinks down. A few minutes later she is back with the food. We eat and Daniel pays for everything.
"I will carry Kyle if you carry Kaylie." Daniel tells me. I nod my head and pick her up. She starts to wake up but I shush her and she goes back to sleep. We get out to the car and get them into their seats. I go to open my door, but Daniel is already there.
"Thanks for the lovely night out." I tell him.
"You are welcome. Let's get home and get these kids to bed." He says as he helps me into my seat, then closes the door.
