Tragic Graduation

"If this room was burning, I wouldn't even notice. 'Cause you've been..."

You woke up thirty minutes after four, earlier than the usual time to you do because today is your HS Graduation. After you turned off your alaram clock, you prayed, thanking God for this wonderful day.

You went downstairs to have your breakfast and you see your mum, preparing your food.

"Good morning darling! I am so excited for your Graduation later. Make sure to have enough breakfast and don't for-"

"Mum. I'm gonna be fine. Nothing to worry about."

It's already six in the morning when you reveived a text.

"Good morning!! I'm so hyped up for today!!! Yayyy!"

It was your bestfriend.

You replied, "Yes!! So excited later x"

You have prepared everything and just waiting for your hair and make up artist to arrive and finalize yourself. After thirty minutes of waiting, she finally arrived.

She first did your hair and it end up having curly waves landing just few inches below your shoulder. You chose to have simple makeup so she just fix your eyebrows, added some make up, noseline and eyeliner. She asked you what colour do you prefer for lipstick and you said,

"Dark red please?".

After almost an hour, you're ready to go to school.

But your service hasn't arrived yet so you decided to check Twitter.

"What? This isn't normal. Me? Having this much of notifications..."

You said to yourself and you started wondering.

Retweeted you?

Favourited your tweet?

What if it's just nothing?

You had so many questions on your mind. Then you got another notification. Coming from your classmate.

"@myfriend: @limabeanstans !! LIAM JUST LEFT THE BAND!!!"

You ignored her tweet assuming she was just playing prank because why would Liam leave though? Yes, he didn't made it to the show here 3 days ago because he said he was sick and stressed and just taking a few days break. Why would he even leave?

Just after that, you got another mention from your closest mutual.

"@bestmutual: @limabeanstans GIRL WAKE UP THIS ISNT A DRILL LIAM JUST LEFT THE F*CK*NG BOYBAND WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU "

You just ignored it again because she might be with your classmate who you think is just playing prank. Instead yu decided to check Liam's profile.

There's no new tweet?

The tweet on top was the tweet he posted few days ago which says,

You tweeted your friend,

Just a few seconds later, you got a new mention.

"@bestmutual: @limabeanstans @myfriend IM NOT FREAKING JOKING !!!! CHECK THE BAND ACCOUNT ASAP"

And you did.

You see the top tweet.

"@onedirection: One Direction official statement *insert link*"

"A statement? Statement of??? What??!"

You started panicking and without any hessitation, you clicked the link.

"After five incredible years, Liam Payne decided to leave One Direction."

And after you read it. You already knew that.

Those eleven words,

Will haunt you forever.

You tried to continue reading the statement but you didn't made it till the end.

You started crying.

You shouted, "NOOOOOOOO WAAYYYY" with tears streaming down your face.

You cried so hard that you didn't mind the makeup on your face.

You heard footsteps coming near your room and you saw your mum.

"Why are you crying? What happened???"

"Liam.. he.. left."

you noticed confusion on your mum's face.

"I know. He took a break right? He'll be back soon. Don't worry. Stop crying over a boyband."

"No mum, you don't understand.. He left the band.."
