Alright, seniors! You all know that your last requirement before you graduate would be a batch play.
It was Romeo and Juliet, the most renowned love story to have ever existed was assigned to your batch.
Everyone auditioned but only the best would be chosen, you didn't think that you'll get any major role, you're used to being just a back up anyways.
Romeo would be played by...Mr. Liam Payne!
Everyone cheers with joy.
Liam Payne, the school heartthrob, and he wasn't just an eye candy for everyone, but he catches hearts. He's intelligent, he's talented, he's every woman's dream.
Everyone murmurs, "Who will be her Juliet?". It was just a school play, but everyone was so curious to find out.
And Juliet will be played by...
the world stops.
Your professor points at you.
"Wait...me?" You asked, playing confused.
If there's someone who's more confused it would be you, more than those of the people around you...combined.
Class was dismissed, people were going out of the room.
But the biggest talk was "Why not Sophia?"
Sophia Smith, the batch valedictorian, the campus crush, the...everything.
You got home with everything still feeling so surreal, you opened your Twitter and everything shocks you.
More than a 100 mentions, but no single praise can be found. Hates, purely hates.
"Why her?? We all know Sophia's better than her."
"Liam deserves a better Juliet!!"
"Did our professor just go blind?"
To get out of all those bashing, you decide to talk to your professor.
"Ma'am can I just quit the role? I don't think I'm good enough anyways. Why did you even choose me?"
Your professor pats your back.
"Darling, it wasn't me who chose who's going to be Juliet...it was Liam himself. He directly told me that he wants you to be his Juliet, no one else."
Liam walks into the room without knowing that you were there too.
"Good morning, ma'am!
And oh, if it isn't my Juliet who's in here.
Are you excited for the play?"
Liam says with a soft and serene voice, while he sits on the chair in front of you.
You didn't know know what to say.
"Uhm...have to go now, class starts in a while. Bye ma'am...bye uhh Liam."
It was the professor and Liam left at the room.
"Why did you choose her to be your Juliet, anyways?"
"It dates back to when we were still Freshmen, the moment I looked into her eyes, I fell in love."
"I knew it! Don't try kissing her during the play, huh!" The professor jokingly says.
"I can't promise that, Ma'am! Haha!" Liam also answers with a joke.
---
The day of the play.
Safe to say, everything went better than expected...
Everything turned around, people were praising you, even jealous that you got to be Liam's partner.
...except for one thing.
The batch valedictorian had to give a speech, it was all good until she says one line.
"...I still think I should've played Juliet, but congratulations to them anyways."
Liam rushes to the stage after that,
"Can I just say one thing?"
"I was the one who chose who I wanted to be my Juliet, Yes, and I wouldn't exchange her for anything. You may all judge, you may all say your opinions,
but there's one thing certain
My love for her would remain unbothered.
Just like with Romeo and Juliet, the personas died, but love shouldn't die with it.
Therefore, making love infinite."
---
That was the sweetest thing I've ever heard in my life.
From then on, I've never been so in love...
...I'm in love with my husband, anyways.
This is Juliet, the one telling you that story.
You've just read one of the most important chapters of my life.
And I want to end this Diary entry with;
"We're the authors of our own love story, let's be the Shakespeare of our own life.
Well, that was mine, and I claim that it was the sweetest love story ever told."
---
A/N: The officers love Sophia, her name was just used as a persona.
