   I took off the headphones and put them on the stand. I immediately went to grab my bottle of water. I couldn't help but chug it down. My stomach growled afterwards. The last time I ate was at breakfast this morning and that was more than 5 hours ago.

   Who am I?

   I'm Shawn Mendes. I'm 16 years old. My birthday is August 8, 1998, so I turn seventeen on Saturday. I was born in a little town in Ontario, Canada. I hardly look Canadian, therefore, people confuse me with an American, but, I'm 100% Canadian. I'm a singer at Island Records. My album, "Handwritten," is out now and I'm working on new singles in the meantime, as well as touring with Taylor Swift.

   "Shawn." Andrew, my manager, called after me as I started leaving the recording studio.

   I turned around. "Yeah?"

"Go to lunch. I think you're famished and need a break."

"I am." I scratched my neck. "Thanks." I started walking off again.

"Don't come back afterwards. Go home for some rest. You'll need it."Andrew hollered after me.

"Thank you, Andrew!"

I'm so lucky to have a manager like him.

I walked out to my chauffeur's car. He immediately got out of the car and opened the door for me to get in, which I immediately did.

"Hi Roque. Take me to my apartment, please." I said, and he nodded.

"Of course, Mr. Mendes." Roque replied as he stepped into the driver's seat of the car and started the ignition.

"OH MY GOD!"  I shrieked. "New video from Shawn!"

I went crazy. Wait! Lemme rephrase that. I FANGIRLED. I also almost fainted in my beanbag. Shawn Mendes is my favorite singer, like, he's my idol. No one understands my love for him. My uncle thinks I'm delusional and maybe insane. My younger brother hates Shawn Mendes to death. I don't know why. HE'S SO HOT!

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Erika Mojave. I'm sixteen years old, I live with my Uncle Jonas, my cousin Cynthia, and my younger brother, Cory. We live in the busy city of Columbus, Ohio. I also play softball, which I'm the best on the team. I pretty much go to school, softball practice, and then I go home to listen to Shawn Mendes. Then the next day, I restart my whole cycle again. However, since it's summer vacation, I can spend more time watching Shawn Mendes on YouTube, listening to Shawn Mendes on my phone, and tweet about him like crazy.

Anyways, I nearly died when Shawn put a video of his concert with Taylor Swift on her 1989 Tour. His voice made my heart race. When the video was done, I tweeted it.

Shawn Mendes new video! *squeals of joy* ShawnMendes I love U!! Please follow me! I would really love it!

"Erika!" Uncle Jonas called.

"Yeah?"

"What are you doing?"

"Same thing as usual!"

"Why do I even bother asking! Ugh! Listen, sweetie, don't stay up too late. You gotta go with Cynthia to the mall."

"Okay!"

"Oh and Erika?"

"Yes?"

"You're absolutely insane."

"I'm going to show you crazy!" I scuffed to myself.
