The Cave was empty when I arrived the next day. Robin and Artemis were on a mission in Gotham.  M'gann, Superboy and Kid Flash were helping the Justice League. Aqualad was in Atlantis. I made sure to come when I knew Batman was here, but no one else was. This was better discussed in private, than with a public audience.

As predicted, Batman was typing away on a digital computer in the middle of the glowing training platform.

"You've come to tell me something." Batman stated without even turning around.

I came to stand next to him.

"I know I should have told you about this a while ago, but I was still... recuperating from Rose's death." My voice didn't shake anymore when I talked about Rose.

He closed the computer and the digital screen disappeared into thin air. He turned to face me, giving me his full and undivided attention.

I took a deep breath before beginning, "Before the Justice League or even the Team had arrived to the fight, Lex Luthor talked to me. They talked about how they had already discovered our Team, and how they've been trying to recruit teenagers for their own covert team, like ours. As Blaze told you, they tried to recruit me, proving that they are actively trying to gain more people."

He was silent. I could almost see the gears in his brain, calculating and piecing things together.

"I'm worried that they've already managed to recruit many other kids. And we won't even know about it! I'm pretty sure they're trying to make their own team to top ours!"

He was silent for a moment before speaking.

"I'm already working on improving our Team. If WE add more people, then that will be our advantage. Even if they knew about our current Team, they would have no way of knowing who our new heroes are."

"Wait, you're getting more people?! Shouldn't you be telling this to us or something and getting the whole Team's consent before you start recruiting people?!"

"It's still just a thought, but if we don't think of something soon, then bringing more people to the Team will be our only option."

"But either way, we still don't know who the people on their Team are. They said that they want teenagers, so they could be anyone! For all I know, it could be the guy that sits across from me in History class!"

A millimeter smile tugged at his lips but it was gone before I blinked.

"All we need to do is wait. If they're being active with their plan, then we just need to wait for them to mess up," He paused, "Everyone messes up eventually."

I nodded. I bit my lip, thinking about the other thing I needed to tell him.

"I can tell you have something else you need to say."

It didn't shock me anymore that Batman knew these things. I took a deep breath, steadying my nerves.

"My father."

I could see his broad shoulders stiffen in surprise before straightening. His shoulders and muscles just reminded me of how he was the definition of pure power.

I've been thinking about my father ever since I had that nightmare. I realized that deep down, I wanted to know more about him. I needed Batman's help to unfold all the secrets behind my life. I wanted to find the answers to all the questions that I'd pushed aside for years. Where did he go? What happened? And why did he lie about being part of a secret organization?

"I'm ready," I said, my voice steadier than I felt, "To investigate my father."
