Chapter 7

Kai's POV

7 years later

I sighed as Luca walked into class late again.

"Luca, why are you late?" I asked him.

"Couldn't be arsed with class." He smirked running his hand through his dark red hair, the same as Kian's in fact.

"Sit down." I told him trying not to let my emotions show, I didn't want him to know how much it hurt me to see him like this.

"Okay." He muttered before walking to his seat at the back and pulling out his phone and earphones before putting them in his ears.

"Okay class just read from where you are in your book for the rest of the lesson." I instructed.

Everyone did this apart from Luca who continued staring out the window listening to his music, playing with his lip rings.

Why did he change so much? We used to be so close and nowhere won't even talk to me.

I'm wiped my eyes to make sure there were no tears before walking over to Luca.

"These are mine now." I told him pulling his earphones out of his ears and grabbing his phone.

"You can't do that." He shouted at me.

"Yes I can." I shouted back at him.

"Ugh I don't care, just piss off and leave me alone." He shouted back.

"Get out." I shouted at him.

He walked to the door and looked back before leaving, meeting my eyes and smirking.

That's when I broke down, I fell to the ground and cried.

"Mr Daniels are you okay?" A girl asked.

"No, why did he change so much, he was so nice when he was younger." I cried.

"Who?" Another person asked.

"Luca." I cried. "He used to be the kindest person you would ever meet, have I done something wrong?"

"Wait, he's your son?"

"Yeah, he is."

"Kai." Kasy burst into the room. "I got called to come and see you."

"Kasy, what have I done wrong he hates me." I cried into her embrace.

"You can all leave." She told the class. "You've done nothing wrong, he just doesn't realise what he's got. You should go home. Come on." She pulled me up and grabbed all of my stuff of my desk before pulling me to the office.

"What can I -"she cut off when she saw me crying. "Kai are you okay?"

"I'm just gonna take him home." Kasy told the lady.

"Of course, just let me sign you out." She wrote in a piece of paper before looking back up. "You can go now."

"Thank you." I mumbled walking out to my cd with Kasy following me.

"Do you want me to drive you home?" She asked me, her worry for me showing in her voice.

"No no it's fine I can drive it's fine." I assured her.

"Okay, but I'll be coming to visit you after school." She hugged me before opening my door and telling me to drive safe.

Putting my keys in the ignition I turned my car on to be met with the sound of Empire(let them sing) by Bring me the Horizon. It'll do for my current mood.

I pulled up outside the pack house and made a beeline for the kitchen to get some ice cream and chocolate.

"What are you doing?" James asked me.
