Chapter 12

Joe and I have just left my house to visit Marcus and Niomi. I only saw them a few days ago, but me and Niomi decided to do a collaboration for our channels.

As we arrive, I notice that their car isn't in the drive. I look at Joe with a puzzled expression on my face.

"Babe, they've cleared out their garage so they can fit in their car," Joe says with giggles. I can't get over the fact that he just called me 'babe'. A warm feeling travels straight through my body as he looks at me with his warm eyes, and I smile back at him.

"We are so cheesy," I giggle. He blushes a little and this makes me blush, too.

"You're so cute when you blush, aw," Joe says. This makes me blush even more, so I cover my face with my hands.

We get out of the car before we get another cheesy moment, and walk up to the door. Joe rings the doorbell and moments later, Marcus opens the door.

"Come in, Nimbob is just cooking us lunch."

"Hey, guys! I'm in the kitchen."

"Well obviously, you can't exactly cook lunch in the lounge," Joe says with a giggle as everyone else laughs at his joke, apart from Niomi, who is blushing at her silliness.

"Put your coats on the coat rack, guys. Make your self at home," Marcus says with a smile. So, we do as he says, and I put my handbag on the floor next to Niomi's.

I walk into the lounge to find that television is on the menu of the film 'Mean Girls'. It's a chick flick, but Joe and Marcus still enjoy it. In fact, it's Marcus' favourite film.

A few minutes after catching up with Marcus, Niomi comes into the lounge with a tray with four bowls filled with pasta, kernels and spinach {a/n try it, it's actually really nice}. Moments later, she walks back in with four glasses of water.

Marcus turns down the music slightly, but then his favourite song turns on and he turns it back up again.

We eat our delicious, healthy meal whilst catching up on things that have happened since we last spoke. We didn't get to catch up when they were at my house because we just had fun and made the most of it.

"So, are you two together, then?" Niomi asks.

"Yes, we are," Joe says with a smile, and a smile spreads across my face.

"Aww, you guys are going to be so cute when your married, and your children are going to be absolutely adorbs!" Marcus jokes.

I can feel myself blush as Niomi and Joe both tell him off. Joe hugs me and Niomi and Marcus both 'aww' at his reaction. This makes me giggle, of course, because I only then realise that he is making silly faces above my head.

After we've finished our lunch, Niomi suggests that we film the videos. I agree and follow Niomi upstairs. I've never been to the Narcus household, and I have to admit, it's very homely and welcoming.

We decide to film the '7 second challenge' for my channel, and the 'what's in my mouth challenge' for her channel.

After filming the videos, I can't help but realise how fast the time has gone by. It's almost seven at night and it's starting to get dark.

"Should we start to get ready for this party thing down in the country club?" I ask.

"Yeah, we probably should."

So, without hesitation, we both get ready for the party. I love country pups, they remind me of when I was a child. We used to go to our local one every weekend because we lived just down the road from it.

By the time I've had a shower, dried my hair, straightened my hair, done my makeup and got dressed, it's time for us to go. There isn't a certain time that we have to arrive, as long as we arrive tonight because that's when the party starts.

We jump into Marcus' car and he drives to the pub. We had a deal the Niomi would be driving back home, so she won't be drinking much alcohol.

Once we arrive, Niomi starts to feel slightly faint. I sit her on the nearest bench whilst Marcus goes into the pub to grab her a drink of water.

"Take a few deep breaths, Marcus won't be long." I try to calm her but it gets so bad she has to put her head on the table.

Marcus comes back after five minutes of waiting. He hands Niomi the drink and sits where I was sitting to calm her down.

As I watch them, I feel Joe's hand slightly touch my hand. We intertwine our fingers together and walk inside.

I sit at a table as Joe goes up to the bar to buy us our drinks. Moments later, he comes back with my J2O and his beer. I'm not one for alcohol, I've never really liked it. For some reason, it always makes me feel sick, even after just one sip. I'm not sure why. I think it's because I'm not used to having it.

After about ten minutes of chatting with Joe, Marcus and Niomi come to sit next to us with their drinks.

"Hey, Nimbob. You okay now?" I ask.

"Yeah, I'm fine now." We talk for about an hour before we realise that we should get back to the house.

By the time we arrive back, it's 7:30. Niomi goes into the kitchen to cook some food for us and we edit some vlogs and main channel videos. We're all busy at work when the doorbell rings.

Marcus gets up and opens the door to see two familiar faces. Zoë and Alfie have arrived to drop something off for Niomi.

"Hi guys! Fancy seeing you two here," Zoë says with a smile.

"Well, me and Niomi wanted to film a video so we met up and spent the day together," I reply, smiling back at her. Her smile is perfect, it can lighten up someone's day.
