Saviour ~ (A Bertholdt Hoover x Reader Fanfic)

Chapter 1: Him.

Memory/dream~
I was running. Crying. My mother hit me again. I should be used to that since it all started when my father died a year ago, but it seemed to hurt the more she did it. There was no getting used to it..

I didn't even know where I was going. I lived outside of the walls in a heavy wooded area where titans seem to avoid for whatever reason. I didn't care tho.. All I wanted was to get as far away from my mother as possible.

I suddenly stopped and rested beside a huge oak tree. Out of breath from running. I then sat down and looked up to see a family of beautiful baby cardinals (they're a type of bird if u don't know) chirping inside the nest thier mother has made. I smiled as I saw the mother bird swoop down with food for her children... But was once saddened at the thought of my mother and how she treated me. Nothing like the mother bird at all, but the exact opposite..

I felt my face heat and my eyes start to burn.. I knew I was about to cry, which I gave in to.

So there I was, alone, depressed, with no friends and an abusive mother. I couldn't take this life.. I couldn't stand being here.. I wanted to die. I needed to find a way out, but how? I looked around... Wondering how I was gunna end this. Then it appeared. A titan. It just stepped out from behind one of the trees. I hid on the side on the tree, opposite to the titan. At first I was scared, I started to sweat, I was shaking, I wanted to cry even more.. But I calmed down. After remembering what it was I wanted to do in the first place... It was my chance to do it. Perfect time for a titan to show up around here.

I took a deep breath, let go of all my fear, walked out from behind the tree and started to walk towards the titan. It didn't look that big.. Maybe 10 feet.. So it had no trouble seeing me whatsoever. It looked at me. Stared at me. Then smiled and walked toward me with it's arms out, as if to hug me but I knew that I wouldn't be hugged. I stopped walking, closed my eyes and waited for the titan to come to me, but then....,

"hey! What're you doing!?"

I opened my eyes and looked to the right. There was a little boy standing there. He was a bit taller than me, with black hair and dark brown eyes. He looked scared.. For what? For me?

"Come this way!!" He yelled again.

I looked back to the titan and saw that it was towering over me about to grab me..., 'too late..' I thought

Then I felt something grab my hand, and pull really hard. It was the boy I saw. He pulled me just time for the titan to miss from grabbing me. Then we started to run... I don't know why I didn't let go and go back to the titan, but something about this boy made me wanna live..

After five minutes of running through endless woods, we stopped again.

"Are you crazy!? You could've been eaten up!" The boy talked again.

"I-I-I-" I stammered.

"Hey it's ok, u should get home though. The monsters like to come out at night you know!" He smiled then ran again. But I didn't follow him. I watched as he disappeared in the darkness.. Then I went to look for my home. All the way there I was thinking about him..
Him..

Alright so second fanfic is a go! I'll definitely be more active about finishing this story since bertholdt is my absolute favorite character from attack on titan <3 hope u enjoy the first chapter so far, can't wait to publish the second. I'll talk to ya later ^.^
